brent, did you watch WSOP ME Tuesday night? That kid Thomas Keller who won a bracelet a couple years ago lost 200 pounds having the same procedure you're going to have.

he looked completely different but seems to be healthy and doing well.

just wondering if you saw him.

actually looks like he lost too much weight.

wouldn't it be something if you had to struggle to keep up your weight?

I don't think he would look that sickly if he would get out in the sun a bit. I think that is what has caused such a negative reaction in most.

It's amazing what 200 pounds will do!

Hey Jackson, yeah I saw that last night. It's hard to imagine that could be me in 12-18 months. :00hour

Really excited for this weekend and look forward to seeing you on Saturday. We have 28 teams signed up and tons of prizes for our raffle! :)

I meant Nov... have no idea why I said Dec.

and I'm in a family thats pretty much split between bama and AU.

so needless to say, I will probably be rooting for bama. I would love to see them play in a NC game. but its way to premature to be talking about that... but there is always hope!

Like Jackson said... the weather was perfect and everything went well without any problems.

We had over 100 golfers for my outing and almost 175 people at the dinner that night.

Thanks to everyone's generosity we were able to raise almost $21,000 towards my surgery costs. What an amazing group of friends I have!

Met with my surgeon yesterday to finalize my surgery date which is now Tuesday, December 2. I've already lost 23 of the 50-60 pounds he wants me to lose prior to surgery.

Now I have to have labs and a stress test done along with other tests (EKG, chest x-ray, etc.) and a psych evaluation all in the next month.

Starting to get a bit nervous, but still excited.

Again, thanks to everyone for their positive thoughts and encouragement. :toast:

Work hard to get it taken off Brent! Realize your finish line!!!! Stay off the Crown! Tough I know during a Championship run by the Tide!!!! Let me know what hospital your surgery is assigned to and I will see about getting free chemical reagents for all your blood tests and labwork to the facility and see if they will pass the freeness on to you. The rep up there will get involved as well for my company (Beckman Coulter) once I find out. Derrick (my counterpart in Chemistry and Hematology sales) lives in Indy and will help if we can. Let me know. Try to defray as many costs as possible to reach your goal!! :toast:
