I picked these up last week.

The one on the far right is Dogfish Head 90 Minute Imperial IPA. It's not cheap at around 10 bucks for a 4-pack but it is an outstanding beer. Over 9% alcohol too.

The Stoudts Fat Dog Imperial Oatmeal Stout was also enjoyable. The Victory Hopdevil Ale I would also recommend. The Roge Red Ale was just okay.

Try this:

DELIRIUM NOCTURNUM
DELIRIUM NOEL

My favorite:

Chimay Grand Blue cap

Delirium Nocturnum is such a great beer

their sister beer Delirium Tremens was voted Best Beer in the World in 1998...the bartender was hot and she fed me that info and it stuck

Love all the Dogfish Head beers, they are a bit pricey, but when there is 2-3 times t the alcohol of your average domestic swill, you are getting your money's worth.

There is a bar in Des Moines called the El Bait Shop--a fishing themed bar that serves Mexican food. They also have over 100 beers on tap and 120+ beers in bottles.
I spent too long in there one day/night after the Iowa Cubs got rained out drinking my way through all the Rogues they had on tap.

Barney Flats Oatmeal Stoudt for me tonight. It's out of California, Anderson Valley to be specific. It's a highly rated beer on Beer Advocate. The finish is a little light for my taste, it feels like it's lacking something. Still a decent beer but I'd probably pass on buying it again.

Here are a few of my faves

Here are a few of my faves

The St Bernardus is my favorite. It's a Belgian dark beer and it has a subtly sweet flavor. Delicious! I usually have one of these with dinner if I'm in Old Town because a few of the restaurants carry them, but you can buy the at your local beer store too.

Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout is another real good one. Goes down real easy. It's dark too and has a great taste for an Oatmeal Stout. An all around thumbs up for me!

I never thought kneifl and I would have something to talk about, but I just bought a case of Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout last night, about to crack one open now..had 2 last night, noticed maybe a little too much carbonation for my taste and not as thick as i like but overall a good dark sweet smooth brew..nice frothy head too:SIB

My best friend here in Nashville just got his beer distribution business license today for Davidson County. He is doing nothing but craft beers.

He's been in his family beer business in Ohio his whole life, moved to Nashville about a year ago, and has been itching to get back into the game since.

Can't wait to help with the dead stock!!!!

Current beers in the fridge:

Stone 13th Anniversary Ale
Biere de Mars (New Belgium Brewery)
Schlafly Reserve Imperial Stout (aged in bourbon barrels)
Jefferson's Reserve Bourbon Barrel Stout (not a huge fan of this one)

For a very decent lower priced craft beer ($6.99/6 pk) is Dundee IPA and Dundee Pale Ale.

Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale was the craft beer that opened my eyes to the new world beyond Miller Lite.

Haven't looked back and the calories keep increasing!!
