I like the pick. She seems to be a true Republican. She actually likes small and open government. Can we honestly say that about any of the other possible canidates in recent memory?

She is also not likely to be in the pocket of the Federal Reserve bank, and every lobbyist group known to mankind.

These are huge pros to me. Being a seemingly REAL regular American who succeeded above expectations.

On the other hand, I think it is a horrible strategic pick for the Republican ticket, for all the reasons people have already talked about.

We got the head of the PTA running for VP! I hear they like her brownies.

but she does have "community organization skills"....that apparently counts for something...:SIB

both tickets have a lack of experience ..one at the top...one at the bottom....

would you rather have it at the top or at the bottom?....

every time a dem brings up experience, the republican`s will get a chance to hammer obama on his biggest weakness...

that was shrewd...

Give me a break - in her little bio it says just two years ago she was a "hockey-mom"...her experience is not even comparable to Obama's.

Sheeshe...

Look SixFive - just because you are a big moose doesn't mean I have to have more compassion for the moose. Last I checked, wolves killing moose was part of the NATURAL chain of events in the world. People flying in planes and shooting wolves is not. so you're a wolf lover. I'm not. They have their place, but if they're not managed, they are extremely destructive. I think both species can and do coexist.

If you really think that us building huge structures in the middle of polar bear habitat doesn't have any effect on them, you are wrong. talking out of your ass again? yep...But then again, you don't believe in global warming, because you had a few cold days down in that there south where ya be, so it couldn't possibly be real. I'm sure not a radical global warming alarmist.

I am not equating animal life to human life, but I have compassion for any life that cannot protect itself. You, as a good Bible-loving man, should know that in Genesis Adam and Eve (and thus all of us) were put here as CARETAKERS of the earth and animals, not as murderers. Animals can not be murdered. They are not people. I believe highly that we are caretakers of animals and our planet. Don't even get me started on human rights abuse - go ahead and start... I'll probably agree with you on just about everything. I love people. That's my profession; to care for others. I'm sure you're very active at a local level doing for others as I. I'm a big dumb moose according to some here, but I'm easily overcome by emotion. I have a HUGE heart for my fellow man; especially those who 'can't protect themselves'.I don't understand how you can be such a strong supporter of all these republicans, you must have me confused with somebody else. I'm far from a strong republican supporter. I honestly can't stand John McCain. Do you read this forum, or is your hatred of a few of my stances clouding your thoughts on everything else??considering all the atrocities that have happened in the last 8 years alone. How about that atrocity in 2001; or do u believe that Bush did that too?

What's the point - it is never-ending with you, you will never look at anything with a critical open mind. You're absolutely wrong about that. Just because I don't believe in all the liberal talking points does not mean I can't think for myself. I know I'm one of the most independent thinkers in this forum.

Don't paint with such a broad brush.

Garden, I'm fully aware what their going after, seems like political panic to me. But your comment was about equally qualified. In the simplest terms of education, I don't see equality, University of Idaho & journalism major of all things. If the old man kicks, you have a 43 year old self proclaimed hockey mom that took journalism at University of Idaho. How difficult is the curriculum at Idaho? Couldn't she crack at least political science or law?

If anybody votes for a 70 whatever year old McBush with her as VP, they are out of the fvcking mind.

Why so negative Hippo? Who would have been a better candidate? I think before you belittle her, at least learn about her background.
Biden is an expert in judgment, when it comes to foreign policies.. first he votes against the Gulf War, then he votes for the Iraqi war.

Wow :mj07: Did anyone hear Obamas camps statement, sour grapes..

Tulip, you might want to come back to reality. I am in too good a mood to rip the rest of your drivel, but Biden voted against the Iraq war? Where the hell do you get your information from?

"In 1998, Biden expressed support for the use of force against Iraq, and urged a sustained effort to "dethrone" Saddam Hussein over the long haul.[21] As chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 2002 he stated that Saddam Hussein was "a long term threat and a short term threat to our national security" and that United States has "no choice but to eliminate the threat".[22] After the Bush Administration rejected his effort to pass a resolution authorizing military action in Iraq only after the exhaustion of diplomatic efforts,[23] Biden argued that Saddam Hussein possesses chemical and biological weapons and is seeking nuclear weapons;[24] he subsequently voted in favor of authorizing the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Biden has since said that he believes it was a mistake to support the Iraq war because it has been mismanaged by the Bush Administration."

Thats what i said.

Welcome to the forum Tulips. I think you are going to fit in quite nicely with the McBush backers.

LOL. Who/what gives you the right to say so? Who/what gives You the right to distinguish one life from another?

So, if you had a dog and I came to your house and shot it, according to you, nothing should be done?

Give me a break - in her little bio it says just two years ago she was a "hockey-mom"...her experience is not even comparable to Obama's.

Sheeshe...

that was barack, hippo(he`s the community organizer).....i was being sarcastic ...

barack has literally no experience...he had more non-votes than any senator in his short tenure....164 days.....in congress...he was chronically absent...

she has more executive experience than obama...she was a mayor and governor of a state ...she made more tough decisions as governor in a week than obama did in his entire short tenure in congress...

"Of the 100 sitting senators, 16 have run for president. Since John F. Kennedy won the presidency in 1960, becoming only the second person elected from the Senate to the White House, 47 senators have unsuccessfully sought residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. "

4 of our last 5 presidents have been governors...including bill clinton..

i guess it`s because governors have many of the same powers as a president,....

so thats a losing argument......

btw....you know how barack got into office?...the actress jeri ryans`ex husband was running against obama in chicago for an incumbent republican`s seat ..he was favored to win....

but "someone"(lol) let the "sealed" details of his ugly divorce with ryan leak out...he was discredited and had to withdraw in mid-election run....

funny how that happens...they believe it had something to do with a liberal appointed judge....

chicago politics......

Being a mother of a 5 month old with Downs wouldn't you think that child demands a lot more attention than the Vice President of the United States can afford to give it?

That's the best point I've seen made all day about her! As a mother of a 5 month old myself, I know how much time and attention it takes - 90% of my energy goes to my daughter! And I can only imagine a child with special needs.

She is "pro-life", but really being pro-life means that you have to take full responsibility for the life you create (including personal involvement).

animals are not = to humans. That's a core belief for me and for most people on this planet. If it's not for you, then so be it, and you should check into PETA because that's what they believe.

If you came to my house and shot my dog, of course you should be accountable and everything I could legally do to you would be done. What a morAnic statement by you.
