The debates couldn't come any time soon. Here is a ctime when the dems have a very legit chance of taking the whitehouse and the two leading candidates are an African American and a Woman. Neither one has a shot in hell because certain groups just because one is black and the other is a woman, will not vote for them. Someone has to step it up. Hopefully in my opinion Richardson or Biden does this but right now i wouldn't mind at all if Gore stepped in this thing. He was against this charade of a war and has some foresight unlike anyone on both sides. The right can show their ignorance all they want but this fellow in fact was influential regarding the internet as well as global warming. Sure the neocon like to tease Gore about his thoughts on the internet because its what they can have their monkies believe. The monkies will run with it but in fact out of all the politicians no one was more involved with the net.
I think Obama would make a very good president but it just isn't happening. If a class act like Harold Ford couldn't win in the South Obama won't either. They rather have guys like Bill Frist. A piece of shit of a human being but that seems to be there taste.

I'm using your post to make a point. I understand what you are saying but I think its a defeatist attitude, and we have to start somewhere. I think people have to start voting their conscious, and let the chips fall where they fall. If a person is a democrat and won't vote for a candidate because they are black or a women, why are they a democrat. I think everyone who votes has to stop voting for the person they think can win ,but the person they think is the best for the job. This is a tough subject because not enough of us vote. It happens in both parties, the primaries are voted in by a few and 1/2 of the potential voters would have not picked these people, so they go back into their caves and the election is decided by the far left and right. We need new public debates about new blood. I don't think Gore or Biden give the Democrats a better chance than Clinton. There are more women voters then men. I wouldn't vote for her, I didn't vote for Bill, but she has a chance. When will America wake up and realize that recycling the same kind of politicians on both sides , gives us the same results. I think someone like Obma & Giuliani can send our country in a different direction. We need drastic change. What are we afraid of ? We can't do any worse. Can a black or a women be president ? No. Not with the numbers that turn out and vote. Yes. It could happen, if everyone used their right. The right for blacks and women to vote in this country was not given. People fought and died for that right , not on some battle field in a far away place, but right here in the streets of America. White people in America are the silent dumb majority. More than 1/2 of them go unheard on election day. I think the debate has to go from, why someone can't be elected to how do we get them elected. We have Fellow Americans laying it on the line every day on foreign soil, but we can't get off our asses here at home. We need to starts calling the people in our circles out.
Hammer i like him but he too fell for this sneaky war. Barney Franks on Bill mahre said you did't have to be a wizzard to realize what this administration was up to and that is why he voted against it. When i think about Gore and his foresight I then remember him making Liberman his running mate and then i start not liking Gore.
Brya first off i always vote who i think would do the best job and i don't think i ever won one presidential election in my lifetime.
Southerners will never vote for a black guy and its that simple and im pretty sure they won't vote for Hillary for no other reason but because she is someone they don't like no matter what her policies are. Not all Southerners just the majority of them which will be over 50 percent.
I know exactly what you mean about half the country doesn't vote. I have worked voter phone banks before and did all kinds of things to get people to vote but some people are just to flat out lazy. Some will never vote because in there mind they think will be called for jury duty. Not sure where they cooked up this one. I have people who come over to watch football on Sundays that wont even register. Some i even told are not allowed over anymore unless they register. Of course i cave on this but what can you do? A lot of people won't vote unless something tragic happens to them caused by a politician. Maybe if when you voted they gave you something free like a dinner people would get off their lazy asses and go vote. Im running out of years and patience trying to get people to vote. I have picked people up and have driven them to the polling places to vote. Some Sunday night after football i will turn on meet the press and people will say "do we have to watch this shit". They just don't care.
and this is just the beginning....it looks like the traveling road show known as "rodham and hussein" will be courting "the joos" next week like they did the black vote this week...
i don't know what the over/under is on which one will be first to speak yiddish or hebrew.....

They are probably the only bracket that actually enjoys her voice - remember, we are talking about the same people who spawned Gilbert Gottfried. Obama may do well with some of the mandingo complex type younger females, but most of them are either too young to vote or too cool to vote.

how did Harold Ford do in the last election? As for the tipping you are spinning my words and its reality and that is the word i live in. I never said all blacks. Let me ask you something. The other day on Jay Leno they had one of those animal trainers on. There were two little cute bears on and the trainer said they were brother and sister. They started messing around and Leno said "look they must be southern bears" Go write to CBS or whatever network he works for and trash him. Bill Mahre in his monologue said he heard that Barrick Obama had slave owners in his family because his mother was white and had slaves in his family because his father was black. He then said Obama was gonna denounce his mothers side (slave owners) but his approval rating jumped over 25 percent in the south. Why would he say that? Because he lives in reality. this is a true story and i don't give two shits who gets mad. My father owned a resturant and this one black policeman use to come in all the time. The waitresses hated waiting on him because he never left anything. He comes in with this black girl, they eat and when they were leaving the black girl says "aren't you gonna leave the waitress anything?" The guy reached into his pocket and pulls out a dollar and throws it on the table. Now i say bravo to the girl that shamed him into it. But then again cops are not the biggest tippers either. Actually those mooches are alway's looking for something for free. They may even be cheaper than the homeless. Cops that is.
