I'm pretty sure the players didn't sign on with Bama to play the Mercer Bears..... If you as a Bama fan are thrilled with Saturday's match up who am I to judge.....Are you taking in the game or scalping your ticket?
Im not thrilled about this game . Its the games on Jan 1st and 8th we get excited about.

LSU..Bama has beat them 7 straight times..at some point for the other team to be taken as a serious rival to a SEC and National Championship they have to defeat Bama..Well 7 chances...now they are a weak sister too

As an Auburn fan......cough, cough! The problem with the schedule for Bama is that the SEC teams are terrible this year. Three schools have won by large margins over these train wreck teams which hurts SOS. Auburn, Georgia and Bama are the only teams that will have an impact on the national scene over the next few weeks.
Auburn played #2 Clemson at Clemson......the way it should be, not on a neutral field. Auburn beat #1 Georgia and then plays ULM (another cupcake) before playing another #1 Bama the following week. I am not sure how many teams have ever played two number one teams in a three week span? If Auburn beats Bama and goes to the SEC Championship game, they will have played 3 top 5 teams within a 4 week period. That is brutal JMO

Find me the years where the game was played on Thursday and Auburn had a bye week the Saturday before but Alabama didn?t. Hint: You can?t

Saban SHOULD have been outvoted. He voted against his own self interest. 9 conferences games - and a guaranteed 6-6/.500 record for the conference in that extra game is bad for business and is what has hamstrung the Pac 12 for so long.
Trivia note - Only 3 teams in the NCAA have never played a FBS school. USC and its 2 rivals. That is all.
