Oklahoma plays Kansas. Wow. Mercer prob beats them

The problem with this week is that it used to be an off week for Auburn so that didn?t bode well for Bama as rhe AU/Bama used to be played on Thursday (Thanksgiving) then got moved to Friday then eventually Saturday

Best to play an earlier Conference schedule an play an easier team late before Auburn ga,e

Not ideal in my mind and if the league would move to 9 conference games this would go away

Saban actually was the only coach who voted for that this past year actually

Find me the years where the game was played on Thursday and Auburn had a bye week the Saturday before but Alabama didn?t. Hint: You can?t

Also the game was played on Friday (day after thanksgiving mind you) with that bye week while Bama did not. Should have specified that more in my post

But I do remember very clearly that Bama always played Mississippi St and Auburn played Georgia the week before
Wish it was like that again

I wish Bama wouldn?t play these games as well
But it?s part of it these days
Maybe soon they will change this but I?m not holding my breath

Their AD literally had to call the Mercer AD and settle on date and compensation. It's not happenstance.

Playing 12 game schedule with only 8 conference games leaves 4 out of conference games
No way any team is playing all of these four in first month or so

Would like to see a better team on the schedule

I was kidding around with pplargo, trying to stir up some shit........ I enjoy reading info from you Bama guys! It's going to be a great Iron bowl this year, both teams match up fairly well. My in laws are going to be here all weekend from Miami, I told them they need to go out shopping Saturday so the dog and I can raise hell in the home. :lol:

Francois wasn't good last year. Really really mediocre in every big game. I know he was a freshman. I get it. But the offseason idea that every single talking head (and most gambling forums) that Francois would just... "turn into a better QB" because he was one year older is stupid as hell to me. I got in so many ridiculous arguments with people high on FSU preseason because of their speculation and "oh Cam will replace Dalvin have you seen his film???" along with losing a beast DL to the NFL.

I couldn't for the life of me figure out why a team that finished what 4th in the ACC and 3rd in their own division in 2016 - lost an NFL day 1 starter RB and an AA Defensive lineman would just all the sudden be not only the best team in their conference, but the #3 team in the country :142smilie:142smilie:142smilie

Agree with people above Preseason Rankings are absurd and just give the talking heads on TV something to try and sound smart about and never actually have to own up to the fact that they threw diarrhea out of the TV into everyone's ears for 1-2 months. Hell most of them probably would double-down and say that FSU would be in the playoff race had Francois not gotten injured. yeaaaaaaaaa
