I was just begging for him to suck a little bit less for just one half. if he could just hit some open guys, they'd be winning this game.

It's too bad the Badgers don't have one of the best running backs in college football to carry the offense.

I have never liked Alvarez, by the way.

He has the tools size arm mobile but missing quick decision ability...Missed the kid deep twice i believe because he threw f#$king late...DAMN... You are correct ..Should be winning against a avg at best defense...gl

agree. I've seen him resemble a capable qb at times. but he needs to make quicker decisions against an sec defense. even a mediocre one.

I also agree with jng. they really need to keep pounding the ball. I'm hoping they're not overworking Gordon in the first half so he's ready for a lot of carries in the second half. clement has been solid, too, with 53 yards on 7 carries.

well, I hate to leave the discussion of men fellating each other, but I feel like this thread got a bit off topic.

I had paused the game for a bit. just watched stave throw yet another pick. got frustrated and went straight to live action just in time to see Gordon scoring again. went back and watched the drive... sure enough, all runs except for a screen pass.

again, this shit ain't rocket science. KEEP RUNNING THE FUCKING BALL!!! YOUR QB IS NOT VERY GOOD. YOUR RUNNING GAME IS VERY GOOD.

time for another mimosa.

If Barry knew me, he'd like me.

I have too many of his clock management mistakes from years ago stuck in my memory. Even today, I think his play calling is far from great. Punting inside the 35? He has figured out, as you and I did an hour ago, that Gordon running the ball is the best strategy. Really not a tough decision. This, not coincidentally, sets up short passes, jet sweeps and more. I'm a Badger native and attended UW during those pathetic days. I guess I agree that Alvarez deserves credit. I just don't think he always coaches up to the ability of the players he's got. And, as an aside, stop being unpleasant when someone comments.

I would posit that Alvarez did not manage the clock well.

That said, let's win this in OT!!!!

Sorry Smitty. I just went and washed my mouth out with soap.

HAHAHAHA I just can't believe he threw the ball 3 times in a row and none were picked off. I don't think any of the 3 were within reach of his receiver either. but that's a win at this point.

I hope Gordon's ok for OT. and I hope they get back to running the damn ball.
