He's in the top 30 in the world at what he does. You can't do that without heart. People don't like him because he doesn't dance and yell. He's not the problem for this shit show, but he's an easy target. I don't like him personally and think the Bears will only get better once he's gone, but he has heart ...... and one more playoff victory than Archie Manning.

I just Googled "Stephen A Smith hate cowboys" and saw a few of those videos. I like Bayless, but Stephen A Smith acts like a clown. I'm sure most of it is just an act to increase audience and views. If not, there is something wrong with him mentally and socially....

Problem is Archie manning played with a bottom 5 , if not bottom 3, roster every season through his prime. Jay has had excellent defenses and plenty of athletes on the edge. Can't say I know how the bears OL has been the past decade relative to the rest of the league, but with the numbers rung up by forte, it seems jay's had at least a decent OL.

Further, he has top 10 talent per almost every analyst and fdc himself. At best, he seems to be underachieving.

Imo Cutler has a lot of heart....it takes a lot to keep him down....

He reminds me of Jeff George, in that they both have tremendous arms, but neither are/were winning QBs....
Yep, jeff george 2.0

Heart, toughness, etc is all just opinion. Smith is paid to give his, and he happens to be in agreement with what is seemingly the majority of the world outside of chicago.

Flacco, Tannehill, Bradford, Kaepernick all ranked too high. Cutler and Palmer should be higher. Foles and Smith should be a bit higher.

Brady has the most wins in the NFL the last 8 years and Flacco has one less win and more playoff wins than almost every quarterback listed except maybe 2 and should be ranked lower?

Please explain how that is bad journalism? For the record, I think TV talk show personalities and radio hosts are entertainers, not journalists. Many, Smith included, are also journalists, but they are not wearing journalistic hats while they are performing.
Because it's Football talk show and Smith makes it a personal attack. No regard for his family that had to hear that shit. Since when is it okay for a sports reporter to make a personal attack on someone? It's neither funny nor relevant. It's gutless when you get right down to it. Smith will never allow himself to be in the same room with the people he hurts and that's exactly what he's trying to do. He's trying to personally hurt someone and if you think that's cool then so be it, I don't. I think it's garbage abs he's garbage for doing it. The other night I was out with friends watching monday night game and afterwards they bring in a guy to play free "bullshit bingo". I'd never played but I did and it was basically free bingo with prizes given away such as a free appetizer or free shots etc... i noticed that quite a few people showed up specifically to play as they all seemed to enjoy it. The DJ said several times that "I shouldn't have to tell adults this, but you can only play one card at a time". At one point I went to the head and there are two men in their late 50's I'm guessing, hiding four extra cards and cheating at free bingo! Wtf? I quietly pointed out to them that it was a shitty thing to do and they should be ashamed of themselves. They laughed until I asked if they taught their kids to cheat, if they're going to find that acceptable behaviour when they get cheated out of something. They of course responded with typical dumbass shit and got mad at me and agreed like idiots. Surprisingly, one of them won. When he went up for his prize a woman accused him of cheating and pointed out the extra cards. He then laughed, lied about it and said they were old, collected his prize and left the bar shortly thereafter. That's theft. That's displaying no heart. Playing the game as hard as you can and still not finding success is so far removed from being heartless it isn't even funny.

When I posted the video yesterday I didn't give one thought of you or that it would bother you like it has. It was not posted because you're a Cutler fan. It had nothing to do with you at all. Nope.

Now, the 2nd one I posted was for you. [emoji38]
I don't care and for what it's worth I don't even think you agree with Smith. You probably aren't a Cutler fan but being a Flacco supporter I'm sure you find yourself defending him at times as well. Whether a qb deserves criticism or not should be confined to the game itself, that's my opinion

He had Josh Bellamy as his starting receiver last week. He had Brandon Marshall hurt all year last year and no Alshon Jeffery yet this year. When is the last time a Chicago defender started a pro bowl? Forte is a great back yes but why hasn't Matt Ryan won with Julio Jones and Roddy White or Dalton with A.J. Green? Stafford with Megatron? Romo with arguably the best O line in football? He's become a favorite target by some in the media so it makes it easy for people to criticize him.

Remember when RoseAnne Barr sang the national anthem abs every one got on her case in the media, yet oddly enough the Naked Gun movie had a scene where Leslie Nielson did the exact same thing with the anthem and it was the number one movie in the land at the time? It's ridiculous. They hired a comedienne to do the anthem and they expected Whitney Houston? I'm just saying.

Fantastic analysis.

I can see why some people want to be entertained by a misogynistic, simpleton troll posing as an analyst, I just don't happened to be one of those people.

Agreed. And for the record the Bears have never had top ten talent during Cutler other than Forte in my opinion. Their defense has been shit for years.

In my opinion this "First Take" stuff is garbage, I watched a bunch of them now. I guess it's all right if you like to see him and Bayless stir it up. Not my cup of tea. The Herd with Colin Cowherd is so much better of a show, listening to him now.

Dalton doesn't have his tools. Stafford similar situation as cutler, but not as athletic. Matt Ryan doesn't have the arm talent, plus was coached by Mike Smith, who got redface and crapped his pants in crunch time.

Never watched first take, so can't speak on it. I have enjoyed all of smith's radio shows, though.

Sorry Jack, IMHO Flacco is not that good of a QB. He belongs in the middle to lower tier of the pack. Now as for the team and coaches around him, they're top notch and a big reason for all of that success.

Having said that, I like the Ravens and I like their HC and Flacco. Much more so than the Skins....
