I like the Pack as well, but the question is, will they cover?
.............................................................

well the information from rrc shows that covering will not be a problem for the winner.

I will just play the ML and enjoy the game.

Unfortunately my local guy does not take ML's. I will be looking at lots of stuff this week for both teams, but my initial lean is GB minus.

............................................................

fawking locals anyway.

I used one for a long time and then he passed away. His son took over and still calls me once in awhile.

That is a tough business.

Cant wait until Vegas is legal for sportsbooks online. Hope it is sooner than later.

Beyond his statistics (13-1/2 sacks, 11 passes defended, three forced fumbles and one interception returned for a touchdown in his two NFL seasons), Clay Matthews impacts a game in ways few defensive players can. He is the NFL?s Tasmanian Devil, a player who is in constant motion, attacking from here, there and everywhere.

Even while fighting through a shin injury this season, he was the most feared defender in the league. Sporting News went to five other elite pass rushers to see what they admire most about Matthews? game:

John Abraham, DE, Falcons: ?He still plays with a chip on his shoulder, even though he?s made it to the Pro Bowl. ? When he isn?t getting sacks, he?s doing things to cause fumbles. He?s doing a lot, especially for a linebacker.?

Dwight Freeney, DE, Colts: ?Clay is a high-motor guy. It?s a little bit different because he?s a linebacker. As a linebacker, they move you around a little bit more and he gets some matchups with tight ends and backs a little more than you would as a defensive end. He does a tremendous job of taking advantage of the opportunities given to him. ? Basically, he gets those one-on-one matchups, and when you get them you have to win them. He?s definitely one of those ?dominate? guys.?

Chris Long, DE, Rams: ?I like the fact that he?s very versatile. He plays the run, rushes the passer and can drop into coverage. He really is all over the field. As a pass rusher, he uses his hands well, but I think he uses his angles well. He rushes with good angles and uses people?s momentum, knocking people?s hands down at the right time. I hate to use the cliche of he?s a hustle guy because he?s very athletic. But he hustles, too. When you turn on the tape, he?s always around the ball.?

Brian Orakpo, OLB, Redskins: ?I admire his relentlessness. He has a great motor, to where if he gets beat he?s steady going. I respect him coming from USC and really not playing a lot (early) and then bursting on the scene. He does a great job for that 3-4 package. He?s very quick on the edge. He?s elusive and has some great moves. You can?t do anything but respect him.?

Shaun Phillips, OLB, Chargers: ?His effort. He just goes and goes?he?s relentless.?

Matthews' Numbers

Sacks: 13-1/2

Passes defended: 4

Tackles: 60

Interceptions: 1

Forced fumbles: 2

Yes I am a Steeler Fan, and yes he gave us his opinion, the same one that everyone is giving. But I consider Big Game Experience and Coaching will be the key to this game. Yes Pouncey is hurt so I guess are coaches will just raise their arms in the air and say oh well. Do you think maybe they go shot-gun formation a lot more if they are worried about the rush. Also maybe Packer fans need to worry about your concussion prone qb. The steelers did lead the NFL is sacks this year. There are a lot of aspects to this game. That's why we play the game. Remember the steelers played the 1st 4 games of the year without Big Ben. They went 3-1. Ben during this time went and worked with a qb guru. They helped him improve on holding the ball higher so it would take less time to throw the ball. It has worked as his interceptions are down. When the suspension was over he came back to the team. They opened their arms to him. The have been playing this whole season with a purpose. something to prove. they are going into this game as underdogs and a us against the world mentality. which I can tell you as a lifelong steeler fan (I'm 45 years old). I will take the Steelers in that role every time. I will say the game will be close
27 Steelers 24 Packers
Big Ben leads the team to a last second touchdown drive. hitting Heath Miller with the game winning touch down.

Yeh they opened their arms to Ruthlessraper

Alot of character in that display.

He has really been lucky in the last two Super Bowls he played in.

This will be differant.

Pittsburgh goes down like Clowns with big red shoes.

In actuality the Pittsburgh Steelers should have been the wild card team.

They were more lucky than they are good.

In the regular season, the Buffalo Bills drop 2 wide open touchdown passes and either one would have won the game ending in a Pittsburgh loss.

Most people saw the botched ending where the Dolphins actually beat the Steelers, but the Steelers won on a crazy loophole in the officiating of that game.

There is no video evidence that Miami recovered the fumble. Yeh right. What a lucky call that was.

Move those 2 games from W to L, and you have Pittsburgh as a lucky 10-6 wild card team facing
Green Bay who is a better sixth seed than they are.

Well this aint no game for a Pittsburgh offense that can stink up the place. Better go to the shotgun because there aint going to be a whole hellof alota time for Benny and the Jets.

GO GREEN BAY !

the 1996 super bowl Green Bay packers had 0 experience. NE had coaching advantage with Bill Parcells head caoach and Bill Belichek assistant head coach. If that is your ace in the hole for this game you might want to reevaluate. It got the 96 patriots nothing. In the end its dline vs oline, matchups and talent.

Like the pick, however I question playing the Pack on the moneyline vs laying the 2 1/2.

In the past 44 Super Bowls....

The winner of the game has covered 37 times

The winner has pushed 2 times

Won and not covered 5 times

You're paying $700 for an event that only occurs 11% of the time

Just my two cents

GL

Many people have already told him about buying points.

....but I wish him luck.
