I am very anxious to see how baltimore attacks this unique niners offensive unit
Just watched their games vs pats and vs broncos
@denver, we saw them run a ton of cover 2 and give up the underneath stuff, which peyton absolutley took advantage of, but still wasn't able to hit his big shots and get big chunks of yardage which means advantage ravens...
@newengland we saw them put pollard up close a lot and load the box and get physical with the pats receivers....we all saw brady struggle compared to his usual stats...
I think both were great gameplans and is a huge credit to ravens personnal that they are able to do so many things on defense, and do them well.
My question: what do you do in superbowl vs this dynamic group.
I think you put your most athletic guy on a qb spy, similar to what ATL did with kroy beirmann.....beirmann did very well and kapernick was not nearly as effective with his feet.....
I don't think balty neccesarily has someone with beirmanns skill set and athleticism, but I think they need to have someone spy kapernick every play....
I would also play some cover 2, as it is clear kapernick loves the deep ball and is very good at it...you have to imagine they are going to try and get vernon davis down the seam a lot during this contest, and no linebacker in the league is good enough to stop vernon, you just have to hope and contain him....
I would spy kap, and take away the deep stuff....make the niners beat you with the short stuff and the true runninggame, which will eliminate the big plays that kapernick has shown with his arm and his feet.....
Hold kapernick to 50 yards rushing and only allow a couple "big" plays, and the ravens would be in a great position....
Obviously, I am speculating on what defensive schemes they will run, but curious to see what other people excpect to see as far as gameplans....
