On the course!
I'm voting for Friday. Let's get a head count, and get some place reserved.

So where's dinner Saturday night? Or was that Friday?

If it's a decent place we need reservations.

That's why I posted we needed a head count and reservation!

I know it's always like pulling teeth to get guys to commit to things on this site, but so far it looks like this:

I'd say we give til Sunday afternoon for people to confirm, and then hammer down on some place. I don't care where we eat, as long as I can have steak and lobster!

Sounds good. Charge no shows $100 too. You get a table for 8 and 4 show up there might be a problem.

I don't care what time either but some others might.

So you don't have a plan? Of course you do.

I usually do a pass line, take the full odds and do 2 or 3 come bets with odds. Then, naturally, the 7 comes out and I'm fucked. Happens to me all the time.

That's the problem with that "system". If you are on a cold table, you go broke very fast!

I play like this:

Place the 6 and 8 for $12 each. Hope for two hits to get "my" money out. (two hits on either number means I will be ahead $4 no matter what happens the rest of the roll)

Now, after a hit on either the 6 or 8, I will place the 5 or 9 for $10 until I have both of those number in play. After that, I will press any of those number one unit (5 or 6 bucks) every time it hits, and pocket the rest.

I will do this for ten rolls of the dice. After that, it all comes back into the rack, and I start back with my original $12 on the 6 and 8, and do it all over again. Except this time I will leave the bets up until the 7 out shows.

I can stand at a table for hours playing this way. The most I will lose on any one shooter is $24, and you simply don't lose that much roll after roll. Plus, you have the chance to be standing there when the money starts piling up!

I'm definitely doing this or some variation of it like I posted above. I like the idea of being there a long time rather than getting my ass kicked in doing it the way I have been.

And I like your idea of throwing down $300 at BJ to pay the dinner bill.

We all should throw $200 down on 1 hand, the same hand, to pay the dinner bill.

We are up for dinner. I am trying to get show tickets now. Depends what night and where. I just can't 100% commit until later. Let me know what you guys are thinking. :0008

Oh, and Eric, I'm available to head over to LVH for prop madness if you want company for that. We can take the tram right from Flamingo or I can meet you there. I like the tram.

When and where are you guys playing?? I can golf Thurs-Sat if you need a 4th....and depending on where you play I can get discounted rates at a few courses....

Hey Doc, look forward to meeting you. What are the big shows this year in Vegas, and do you have any connections for getting deals on tickets? Does anyone know if Vegas has anything like TKTS in New York for last minute deals of shows not sold out? Super Bowl weekend may be a bad time to be asking this. Thanks.

Last year I went to a convention that was at LVH and a buddy of mine was at MGM. I used the hell out of that thing for a few days. Nobody was ever using it and it was a quick and efficient way of getting around. I liked it a lot.

Santana is at Mandalay bay. It's like $250 a ticket though. :scared

Just checked and sold out. There were plenty for Friday available yesterday.

Damn, Ang loves Carlos. I suck at planning ahead on trips. Jack, please text me because my BB did not backup your number on my new phone. Just text "Jack" so I have it. Thank you Sir.

I am not a show guy, just a degenerate gambler living the dream as far away from the strip as possible usually. The shows I hear about are the new Michael Jackson show, my Dad went to see Chriss Angel, and I hear the late night show at Little Darlings is a good one...just can't confirm.

The only site I know of that has deals on tickets is Show Tickets for Locals.com, they give some free tickets with beverage purchases or discounts to other shows as well. I've been to a couple comedy shows at Planet Hollywood through them...

Off to play Badlands this morning for the first time...target golf, oh great....weather has been absolutely stunning out here lately so I hope it sticks around for you guys!!
