Carl Edwards said after the race that it is something they will have to deal with until somebody dies. I guess he went again.
By the way, as far as gambling is concerned. I don't mind the plate races, my edge is just not as great as other venues. I reduce the variance by spreading the wagers around and value, Value, VALUE betting!
There is NO SUCH thing as value wagering in plate races.
It is pure luck if your drivers avoids the big ones and gets the right draft at the right time in the last two laps.

I assume you are using hyperbole, because you can find value in almost every plate race if you shop hard enough. There is a significant difference in driver talent/ability/decision making, even in plate racing. The difference is just less significant than with other styles of racing. When Jr finishes 1st or 2nd seven races in a row that is definitely NOT luck.
