Does anyone know of a corner mount bracket for televisions? Pretty sure there isn't such a thing, at least that I can find.

Technically you do not need one. If you get a wall mount with a swing arm you can position the television in the corner and the television itself will hide the wall mount. It will appear as if the television is a true corner mount.

thanks Joker, I'm looking into that now, but I have glass Windows relatively close to the corner on both sides. Maybe 2 feet of wall, I'm wondering if that would be sufficient.

It depends on how heavy the TV is. It also depends if you are installing the mount directly into the studs.

"Mount into studs" lol

once the t.v.`s up there that`s it...I`m not crazy about wall mounts....much to the old lady`s chagrin,I bought a cart and put it in our bedroom.....you`ll need something below the tv for a cable box/dvr or whatever anyway.....I prefer putting a really big t.v. on a wheeled cart....it`s mobile and you aren`t confined to one spot....

I remember when we moved into our house it had a chi-chi fancy sink hanging off the wall in one of the bathrooms......the wall was so badly bowed,i had to rip it out and do extensive repair work on it....

just not crazy about hanging heavy crap from a wall..

just to get an ideahttp://www.displays2go.com/P-22452/...h-4-Swivel-Casters-and-1-Tempered-Glass-Shelf

you really don`t see much and the footprint isn`t that bad....depends on one`s personal preference...lot of them out there...in a modern living space it looks good...in a colonial themed space, not so much....

No you don't.

In my office the cable box is about 20' from the TV on the wall, sitting next to my desk. It's perfect for my office because I can sit back like in my avatar and see the TV over the top of my monitor.
A wheel cart :142smilie
wouldn't work for me in my office.

I`m having trouble visualizing here.....picture please...

not a circa 1950`s wheelcart......don`t be a trend slave.......think outside the box...

it`s good in a bedroom because you can switch positions in bed and move the tv if necessary....(unless you`re a lazy s.o.b.)...:toast:

not to mention "high tech and savvy"......;)

seriously,if you`ve taken down some walls and opened your space up into more of a loft motif(lots of people like open space these days) those high tech stands are pretty cool and useful....they`re sturdy and stable as hell....

nothing wrong with wall mounts or even a nice stationary stand/unit...it`s a question of personal preference and practicality.....:toast:
