in a nutshell it's about positive mental attitude and how you can improve your life through correct and better thinking.

"you can if you think you can"

"what the mind of man can conceive it can achieve"

i was in sales most of my life and took all the sales courses when i was in my 20's. i just like stuff like that and sometimes need a reminder course. this video is right down my alley :)

well worth the 1.5 hours imo.

jack,

i know where you're coming from...

from 1980-1993 i was in insurance sales. in 1983 i was in the hosp.in traction for my back for a week & a friend brought me tapes to listen to by a guy by the name of robert proctor. proctor had a company ( don't know if it's still in existence) with another guy, named john kanary, called xoces, inc. of north america, which was located out of los angeles.

the package of the xoces seminar tapes that i listened to consisted of 8 topics.....goals, opportunity, the law, environment ( no not al gore's type of environment), attitude, time management, & leadership.

for a week i played these tapes morning, noon, & night, over & over again & again...i played it so often that nurses & other hospital staff came in my room to listen to these tapes. of course not everybody enjoyed them, but those that did started picking up little things that they tried applying to their lives.

when i was released from the hospital i was so fired up that i immediately went to my office & started making appointments for the upcoming weeks & months.

i don't know if it is a coincidence but after listening to those tapes my sales production increased by 4x of what it was before my hospital stay.

i'm not in sales anymore but i still apply some of what i had learned to my every day life now & recommend others to try something similar.

I believe in sales too, glad I have adopted that career path.

Much better of a field to get into than management. I started out my career in project management and did not want to become a common ass kisser amongst all the other ass kissers in the company.

I know being in sales, there are sales managers as well. However, if you do well (in sales) you have the choice of being nice to the nice managers and telling the dick managers to kiss your ass.

Yep, companies can do without a lot of things, a top notch salesman is not one of them, believe me.

Deliver a million and a half dollars in sales where I work at and you should see the shit you get away with.

I go to different town once a week for last 20 years bout 1 1/2 hours each way. During 1st 10 years used to listen to numerous tapes. One of my favs-- believe was Your time your life--which was on not procastinating and making most of time in a day--which led me to listening to all the other tapes when making trip.
Always seemed to pick something out of each tape I could apply.

Sent several to someone (can't remember who)that requested them in thread here bout a year ago.

Bottom line While we might be born into different situations in life--one thing every swing dick has in common is--we all have 24 hours in a day--what we do with them will determine our future.:)
