Someone from the court must post a list for posters jury duty.

It will be their civic duty to report before the Judge in this thread and explain if they can serve, and if not why not.

People on the list have to report. The pay. Well we all know about the pay for jury duty. If they try to weasel out of it, we throw the book at them.

I got a few names on my mind as we speak that should serve.

I think we have to wave past bias against btj. Otherwise we will never place a jury at Madjacks. And then whats the point.

And to think the fate of one beantownjim will be in these 12 hands. I suggest we may just try to seat 6 jurors as 12 may get a little out of hand so to speak.

Is there a procedure for the Assistant DA (me) to resign from the office and volunteer for the defense council of one beantownjim ?

It looks like only a fool would take this case, and I guess I may be one. But it just doesn't seem fair for beantownjim not to have proper council. My lawyering skills should be quite adequate to do one of them voir dire thingees.

I would serve capably in beantownjims defense. I pledge to do everything possibe to keep him from the hangmans noose.

I respectfully request to be named Chief Defense Council. I will build a team of misfits for his defense. And I promise to serve admirably.

I await further instructions.

PS I think I would be better than that Public Defender guy.

Scotty, if BeanTownJim is not able to secure the services of Alan Dershowitz and he has no other legal representation, then I find no reason that you would not be permitted to defend him against any charges that the prosecution can come up with. The Prosecutor may object to someone from his office with detailed information about the prosecution?s case switching side but this trial has not yet begun and BTJ is entitled to the best defense available. It actually appears from the message below that BTJ may actually have already considered retaining your services for his defense.

The Top Cop and the Prosecutor do not appear to have any charges to file against BeanTownJim other that Public Indecency. I am hereby ordering that if no other charges are filed before 6:00 pm EST this evening, the defendant will be asked to enter a plea for Public Indecency and if necessary, we will proceed with the selection of a jury.

I am still waiting for the prosecution to submit a list of prospective jurors. Any member of Mad Jack?s is eligible for service and if called must report.

I also don't think I can be on the jury. As some of you may know, the White Shadow coached at Carver High which was a predominately black school. I can't say for sure but I would have to guess that at some point in the 1980's BTJ probably bet the over on one or two of Carver's games. Unfortunately, Coolidge was a horrendous free throw shooter and it seemed he always ended up on the line late in the game only to miss. There was always some knucklehead that follwed me to the car after these games complaining that Coolidge would never amount to nothing more than a criminal or a janitor. I never knew who that guy was until Raymond and Agent tracked down BTJ and posted his picture on Madjacks. It was definitely the same guy!!

Those of you who don't think racism still exists in this country, if your sister brought home Warren "Cool" Coolidge, Morris Thorpe, James Hayward or Mario "Salami" Pettrino would would you welcome with open arms?

We are charging him with church burning and arson in the first degree as well as associated hate crimes of discrimination and libel.

The prosecution has indicated that the charges being filed against BTJ are various and deal with issues of morality, decency and common sense. It is the civic duty of those chosen for this jury to take these matters seriously in hopes of coming to a unanimous decision as to the verdict for each charge. Once all jurors have acknowledged their responsibilities, we will call on Father Ryan to deliver the benediction and then these proceeding will begin.
