BUSH had a gaseous stench, which no one could deny.... he really stunk the place up .... I also feel that the big O has an unbearable smell that's really starting to stink, we'll see. As stench goes the smell gets worst the more time you give it !!!

I really appreciate kind words by all. I am kind of embarrased at the number of responses and thinking I probably should have left quietly.
Nevertheless, I will take this opportunity to answer a couple of questions posed.
Weasel, I did not mean to single out only those 3 posters, but those were the three 'authors' of the littany of inane posts at the top of the board at that time. For the record, I also left off several names of posters whose opinions I value including 6'5'', Trench, Kosar, BBC, Happy Hippo, TerryRay, Ferdville and others. I don't know where Ferd had been until recently, but he is a an excellent contributor.
6'5'', imo you are a very strong poster, and you and I definitely are on the same page most of the time. I do not think it is a secret that Spy makes my want to lose my lunch, and no one on this site, nor in the 'real' world, comes close to him in this regard.
To answer StevieD, whom I feel I mislabeled as a total kook during the Bush years, I feel that O has alienated many of his most ardent supporters, at least in my social circle. The numbers indicate that Obama continues to plummet in terms of national voter approval. I think Rasmussen is where I saw the numbers recently that led me to believe Hillary would win the same election 1 year later. I may be wrong, as I think I am nearly 50% of the time:SIB

It does hurt the credibility of the forum when a SANE and intelligent component leaves. While I usually just skip threads by some depending on the replies, I can see the aggravation.
This doesn't seem a whole lot different to me than the days of unabashed and brutal Bush bashing. The efforts of a few who stray very far from the beaten path are more prevalent here. And, of course, it is nice to see some personal logic applied as opposed to cut and paste jobs as well as the predictable blow backs from dissenters.
Can we maybe limit the number of posts per day? I know that flies in the face of everything, but I'd hate to lose more. Stevie D and Smurph also seem to visit less often and despite the fact i often disagree, they make intelligent, cogent comments.

Are you fucking nuts? The level of disrespect to our president is unparalleled. The fact that GW Jr. was, and is, a complete idiot complicates things.
how "brutal" was the Bush bashing for you? Do you still suffer the consequences? Are you ok now, even though it was brutal? How do you find the strength to go on?
When I first read this post I was unsure if Cie was right.Now after what has transpired the last few days,Cie couldnt be more correct.
