Jack, in all seriousness, I'll be more than happy to do my part and tone down my wise-cracking. I'll try to take a more "Chadman-like" approach to the topics in here, if it'll help.

That would be great :0008

Somebody said something that you didn't like or made you think, one email to Jack and it was put to the dumpster or the guy was banned, now Lumi gets full run of the site and morons like Rusty think they can tell Jack how to run this forum. What a disgrace.

Care to explain why it is you think I have full run of the site?

Where it is real F ing COLD
I will gladly quit posting in political forum and just post in sports & handicapping... What gets me to post is what I consider ignorant and sometimes racist posts by others. Am I being too sensitive? Maybe I am? Maybe I should just stay out of there so I don't get pist at who I consider idiots.

I tend to agree with the lefties on this site, so I will admit that maybe the lefties go a bit far with name calliing and bashing but some leave themselves wide open. I don't know if you can ever come to a solution or truce amongst the people who post in this forum. :(

Yes I know that is why we come here to have difference of opinions but its the same old crap. At least I think that is what Jack is saying. We have been going around and around and around the same topics/issues with the same pie charts/graphs and then we get the same derogatory responses and the same bashing. I do not think it will change amongst the group of posters here... Not with this president..

I don't like the bashing of each other.

I have my own beliefs and have friends here that believe the complete opposite, yet we remain great friends and we don't discuss it with each other. I mean really good friends too.

Can't we just get along

So much hate being thrown around. It's sad.

All the name calling bashing bastids are on the left.
For should.

You post what you want where you want it whether it's on topic or not and get to use the board to gain new customers. You've got a unique position. I think Jack's scared of you. Congrats!!

:0008

I don't think Jack is afraid of me, our products are WORLD WIDE Bob, I bring them up to help people who are in need of healthy solutions. I give away numerous free samples, do you want some, let me know? We just shipped 8 pallets to Austrailia, 10 to The Dominican Republic, 10 to Canada, and still there is no floor space in my 10,000+ sq. foot warehouse. Trucks keep coming in, UPS and Conway keep shipping out. :0074

I really think this forum is a reflection of society in general. This administration is the most decisive in history - and that has led to a lot of discussion (not just on this board) - and a lot of raw emotions.

Let's be honest - many of the decision made so far by the admin (healthcare, AZ, Mosque, bailouts, stimulus) have been contrary to the majority of the people's in this countrys wishes.

That has led to a lot of unhappiness by many people. I'm sure Mr. Obama believes in his heart that these were the rights things to do - its just that the majority of the country disagrees with him. But he has the presidency - and can do whatever he wants - and he has said he will do so.

We can't complain too much - we elected him.

Interestingly, as bad as a President as Bush was (which I think we ALL can agree), I'll bet the political forums were nothing like they are today. Why? Because Bush didn't upset the applecart and make so many momentus decisions and changes that were contratry to what the public wanted.

That is why things are so "heated" in here. Some people think it is a race issue, which is ridiculous. Obama is as much white as he is black (the correct term is Mulatto I believe). We all can identify with him. Many of us can't identify with the "change" he has brought to our country.

I'll bet that once we have a more "Mainstream" president - once that presides and makes decisions consistent with the majority of Americans wishes, whether it be Rep or Dem, that the rhetoric and name calling will slow or stop.

Until then, this forum, along with our country will be the most divided it has been since the Civil War.

I agree with much of what you typed, Mags, but I see some things a little differently. In reference to the reflection of society in general and what the public wants, I think that ignorance of facts and specifics of issues is a large part of why they supposedly feel the way they do. And you say the public disagrees with much of it, I can say they agree with much of it, and we're probably both right much of the time. Blanket labeling of these big issues rarely works, and Obama is acting on many of the issues that he was elected on. How many times does the majority of the general public agree with ANY legislation wholeheartedly? I think that's rare. And some of the financial issues you mention were so scary that legislators and the public were supportive of those measures, and now go back and ridicule them. Who wanted the financial sector to collapse? Who had any other answers at that time? I can never remember so many financial writers and talking heads that advocated action and stimulus, because of the fear of what doing nothing could produce. And I certainly think the Arizona and Mosque issues are along the same lines of the black thing - fear of what you don't understand or know. Most people don't understand the basics of these issues, and blur the lines on what this country is really supposed to be about.

Personally, I do think that the fact the President is part black bothers a lot of people. Add in the Muslim thing, and that makes it worse for a lot of people. And I don't think most people who think along those lines consider him to be Mulatto, I think they consider him to be black - and that's a problem for them. People say they aren't racist, because who wants to claim that title. But their words tell a different story, and to dismiss this as being ridiculous is, well, a little ridiculous, IMO.

I agree a more mainstream President will calm things down a little. This one bothers a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. Some (IMO) worthwhile, and some not.

Again Congrats!!

This paranoid, demented freak thing seems to be really profitable for you. A nice lesson in Capitalism

:toast:

You have become the reason why Jack started this thread, Name calling and insults. Why?

Really BBC, lay it on the line, what is your problem with me? Is it because I speak the truth, I am extremely successful in business? What is your issue dude? FFS, you posted a BBQ thread, and without any attack from me I post a recipe, I have tried to drop the sword, but you want to continue to be a tool.

To the point of the original thread post, I hope this forum is not shut down. If it is embarrassing for you, Jack, publicly (Which I could understand), then I'd hope we could go back to the password system. I think there is too much name-calling and dismissiveness in here, but that's nothing new. I've never understood why supposedly intelligent people have to resort to name calling, but I never will. I was always taught in debating that if you have to resort to cursing or calling someone a name, you have ultimately lost the debate. But, to each their own. Hopefully if we care about having this place to vent, we can all take a step back and be more civil to each other, even when it's difficult (which it is, a LOT of the time).

Peace.

Then please quit invoking my name as if I am off the reservation and trying to start a fight with me. I am trying to start a whole NEWminati :0008

I am too tired and and sick of the fighting and name calling. What does it accomplish? Anger and annimosity amongst people who originally came here for the same purpose. Sports Info, Poli Sci is a side hobby for some

Be excellent to each other because some day you might need the one you one have hated.
