AR, This is the second time that you've wondered how someone could support Obama. I can't think of one issue that I don't agree with him on in theory.

Is there something that you don't like?

bbc...

first of all i think he's inexperienced.second i don't know his position on the important issues of the day...

can you tell me what they are ?

those are just the standard talking points of a politician.

for example...

how will he handle iran's determination to get nukes ?

what does he have in mind about dealing with n. korea ?

when he says that we should redeploy the troops in iraq...what does that actually mean ?

again i ask you what are his positions on the important topics of the day.....

and your reasons--stevie--is it something he's promising you--or something he's done.

HMMM
--Hiliiary pres
-Barrack Hussein Osama VP
-Peloski S of H

Which would be giving the biggest--:00hour

The terrorist or their liberal base :)

It will be interesting to watch who can out do who in the primaries--I'm a women--ya but I'm an african american--or half anyway:142smilie

In all seriousness--while it looks like an impossiblity--one must always prepare for the unexpected--and I'm getting ready just in case ;)

My reason's, like I said it is early but one of the big things he has going for him is he isn't Bush.

Maybe we can back to fighting terrorist istead of playing into their hands in Iraq.

Your wasting your time AR---

If you have to convince anyone why you have prob with someone whose experience is limited to 2 years in senate as pres --you need to find diff audience--;)
=============================

sponge per your--
"Dog by the way did he mention anything about running up massive deficits to fuel and economy? How about anything about the worst debacle in American history with starting another war of choice? He mention anything about tax cuts for just the wealthy which you are not part of."
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We have just went through one of most productive economical times in history--if you were corp or investor you made tidy profit--if you listened to the liberal blogs/media/liberals than you were confined to (worst economy since great depression retoric and looking at minimum wage-free healthcare free anything as salvation.

However I will give you piece of advice--you will have opt to make as much or more by shorting market if we get Dem congress and pres.

look back to carter days for history--and before you come back with Clinton I'll remind you when he took office he had Dem congress for only 1st 2 years in which the dow stayed in the 3000's after mid term elections in 94 the Rebs won the house for 1st time in 40 years and the rest is history.

dtb...

it's funny....neither bbc or stevie can give obama's positions on issues....bbc wants me to find it. i would think if a person supports a candidate he would know the candidate's positions on the important issues of the day...other than saying he's not bush.

and dtb.....you also are wasting your time.

AR, This is the post footbal pre-tourney time, or I would have told you to do it yourself :)

There's really no way that a candidate can get elected with a 2 or 3 term voting record due to the negative campaigning prevalent today. e.g. Obama did vote to make internet gambling illegal. I don't consider N. Korea to be an important issue.

I know what his stances are on the domestic social issues and I know where he stands on Iraq and Iran.

You asked two people "You can't be serious?" when they stated that they liked Obama. And you don't know anything about what he stands for? I don't know where that comes from.

the dems have the winning ticket in hillary/obama(as v.p.)......but,they`ll f-ck it up...

obama`s ego won`t allow it....particularly after the clinton machine goes to work on him(and then blame it on the vast right wing conspiracy, ala the muslim school thing).....

and besides, the dude has blue lips......he really doesn`t look healthy...

No shot Gary they wouldn't win one state in the south. If its gonna be Hillary in my opinion she has to go with Wesley Clarke. Southerner's don't like Hillary because of her Kankles and they are still not ready to vote for a black guy and probably never will be. All it takes is one racist add like the one in Tenn last election and that ticket would be finished. Harold Ford pandered to that religious bullshit as well as guns and he still got drilled. So sad because he is a solid guy.

scott...

are you saying that we shouldn't know what positions politicians will take on issues ?

...............................................................

OK I will explain.

These fawking politicians lie their asses off and will tell us anything to get into office. Once in office it dont make two chits what they said before they got elected. Its a joke. And the joke is on us over and over.

We need people in this office that will bring new ways of thinking about things and not be bullied by the Roves and the Chenys.

If there is a God , he will not allow Hillary to be President.

You know how everyone says the Presidency ages the people we elect .

This is Hillary in four years if she is elected.

Here's the best initial reason I can think of for supporting either Clinton or Obama in the upcoming election:

Maybe they won't look or sound like a bumbling, dismissive, jackass idiot when speaking in public, or in private with world leaders, unlike the current President.

I think that's a helluva positive starting point.
