So, if Obama's stance on immigration is a big reason for not winning the Presidency, I guess the following are out, too:

In April 2006, Giuliani went on the record as favoring the US Senate's comprehensive immigration plan which includes a path to citizenship and a guest worker plan

Signed the Midwestern Governors' Conference resolution to ease Canadian Border crossing rules.
And those seem to be your FAVORITES. Seems to me there is little to dissuade possible voters, so far.

3. How's that Iraq thing working out for ya?
The truth is that there is only one big issue today. Iraq. If we continue down the same course we will implode just like the Soviet Union did. We cannot afford to pour any more money in that Hell hole for no reason. Let the Iraqi's have their ciivil war without using our soldiers as targets.
The best thing we have going for us is Shock and Awe. That's about it and the terrorists know this. The longer they can keep us tied up in Iraq the stronger they get.
Now for something like 28 years we have had a Clinton or a Bush involved in the White House and I think it's time we got rid of both of them.

although you didn't answer my question about obama, i'll still answer your question about bush.
i didn't vote for bush in 2000, i voted for gore. but in 2004 i did vote for bush because i liked his reaction to 9/11 & i didn't like kerry at all.
as i told you before a governor from a state has experienced in handling administrative duties & that's why a governor does well in the primaries & election.
i disagree with you about iraq being the only main issue in today's politics. iran is the big issue for the u.s. as they seem to be a big influence in what is happening in iraq.i also think the illegals sneaking into this country is also a problem.

Yes Iran is going to have more influence in Iraq then most anyone else. Stands to reason they share a 1800 mile border with Iraq. We of course are 9000 miles away. And much of Iraq is same as Iran nationality. But why we looked the other way. While weapon merchants sell Iran/Russian and even our military supplies on the open border and in some of there small towns. I do not understand. What are we doing tying to set it up to expand the war with excuse we could not stop this. If our military is not able to even to this in this screwed up country I would be very surprised. This is what our military is good at.

Health care: Wants universal coverage by 2012; details not specified.
Immigration: Voted to give illegal immigrants a route to citizenship after they pay fines and back taxes, learn English, satisfy a work requirement and pass a criminal background check. Voted for building a fence along Mexican border, and toughening requirements that citizens be given preference for jobs over guest workers.
Iran: Proposed regional conference that includes Iran, Syria and other neighbors, aimed at stabilizing Iraq. In 2004 Senate campaign, held out possibility of military action against Iran if sanctions designed to stop its nuclear program did not work.
