Trampoline help....

Well, Nole actually thought about assembling my sons trampoline.

Yeah, ok, that's not happenin'!!!


I take the box to the back yard(oh, the box itself must weigh freaking 300 lbs!!!). I take all the staples out and open the box. There's some cover thing on top. I take that out. Next, 12 poles and the net to keep the kids in there.

Under that, a millions parts!

I put the items I mentioned back in the box and said, "Phuck that!!".

So, now this big-ass box has a tarp over it and there it will sit until someone else puts it together.


Anyone ever put one of these 12-15 foot tramps together? You deserve a medal!

I guess I'll call a trampoline store for guidance. I'm sure they have employees that put these things together on the side. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.


I didn't want to buy this damn thing but my son wanted it for Christmas. I know what's coming too.....he'll jump on it for 5 minutes and then that'll be it and he'll move on to the next thing. I guarantee it!

I'm a yard freak too. This big damn thing smack dab in the middle of my back yard. This knowing in the Fall, I went through the blood, sweat and tears of aerating(especially aerating), overseeding and fertilizing. Yard came in great!


As long as the kid is happy, right?

Here's my tip:

Place all items (including hardware) back in box.
Affix a sign reading "FREE" to box.
Place box on end of driveway.


Cut your losses. Buy the kid a set of junior golf clubs and some plastic golf balls.

I did put one together years ago but it didn't have the side protection net. I don't remember it being a very difficult thing to assemble. But, maybe my wife put it together :142smilie

It was a bitch when mowing the lawn though. A huge pain in the ass.

you welcome..

if you want the tall green fescue to last in that back yard be sure to move the tramp around ..

the shade will kill the grass ..the area will stay moist and root rot will ensue..

lotta tuff traffic with a tramp so do not cut the grass real short..in fact cut it around 4" high around the tramp if the sod is healthy..

if it is less than 2 years old[the grass] try to over fert it a little and overseed during the spring..

having a super lawn and a tramp is a trick in itself..

good luck...

hint...double check all the parts before ya'll start..

nothing like grown men starting a project without making sure all the parts and all the proper tools are handy and ready to knock out the assembly..

Make sure you anchore it into the ground....Use chain and swirl posts or just throw bags of Sand over cross footings. Or......you will have a flying object when the first storm comes through. Ours landed about a foot away from my neighbors Arch windows.... God knows what that would have cost me.
And then there is part I forgot to mention:facepalm:

Dad will be asked to jump with, causing vertabra damage and higher golf scores in the future:0008

Thanks Old School. I have a side lawn service and I'm always glad to see your advice to others here at MJ's. I cut my grass as high as possible and even have a grass-catcher on my 48-inch mower if you can believe that! I always have the nicest yard in the neighborhood(old neighborhood and my new one). I'm biased but it's a fact.

It's about time for Spring fertilizer now. Weather is perfect here right now but I bet there's more cold air coming yet.

I never would have thought of moving the tramp...never so thanks on that.
