yyz....
I was skeptical as well when I first heard of this. But with the dime lines (and lower nowadays) this system essentially (almost) makes me the book. I am taking advantage of Joe Public's love for "taking the 'better' team."
After all, who would want to put money on Tampa Bay when they are +280 to K. Brown and the Yankees.
The point is, these dogs do hit. You know that.
There was a great database I used a few years ago (I forget the name of it...damn) that showed how all underdogs and favorites have done versus the money since 1992. It was amazing. Dogs won nearly 46 percent of all games, thus, producing massive profits.
Baseball is a sport designed for money line betting....it has low scores and tight games. I wouldn't attempt this with other sports (maybe hockey).
There are days when I HATE throwing a unit on a team with little chance to win the game. But I do it anyway.
The best team in baseball loses 55 games each year and the worst teams wins 55 games each year.
The books probably don't know this. However, if they do, they figure not many people in the public know about it. Or, they might figure nobody has the discipline to do this.
I hope this system doesn't get out! LOL SShhh...
Anyway....the keys here are:
1- shopping for the best price on each game
2-sticking to the plan
3-not betting other sports if you suck (like me)
Also, many professional bettors SWEAR by parlaying faves together. This probably works for them. Perhaps knowing this, the books might inflate the faves, thus making dog prices very generous? I hope this helps. I know it sounds too simple and trite. You can do the research from Pinnacle over the past 2 or 3 years, but it will take some time. I wish I had that database back....but I know it works. That's really all I can say.
Oh...one more thing.......I know that when I personally bet other sports....I would rather be holding the ticket of the BETTER team. That is human nature. Who wants to bet on the inferior team or starting pitcher...especially when there is no point spread?? Nobody! But the value you will make over the LONG run belongs to the dogs....and it enough to offset the 8-cent ot dime line juice.
