The Upstate
damn just bought my ticket to Vegas June 14-20th.

When do the WSOP events start?

Also what are some things to do outside of Vegas with 3 hours that some people might want to go see if they are not big gamblers
:sadwave:

Feel free to shoot me an email guys, I'm all set too. I'll get a room in the next day or two once I make up my mind where I want to stay (sleep, won't be spending much time in the room). Going to be A WHOLE LOT of fun!!

Since you might have quite a few people going is there any chance of getting reduced room rates somewhere?

I can probably arrange this at any of the Harrah's properties. Problem is that this is the July 4th weekend and occupancy rates will be pretty high at most hotels.

Let me know if enough are interested. I prefer the Rio as they have great rooms, some of the hottest waitstaff in town and in my experience, great customer service.

I ran into that problem at Fairfield or I would have had a suite and been able to get a few others a suite dirt cheap too. I'll be staying at Gold Coast which is caddy corner to you, I could really care less where I stay because I'll only be sleeping there. I'll spend all my time at the sportsbooks.

Once we're there, I'll be up for going to the

bars.....

In other words, I'm sure the spearmint rhino and club paradise will be seeing some of my money.

Do you always stay at the Fairfield, Kneifl? Just asking because I designed that complex.

Not always, but sometimes if they are available now that my wife works there. I can get a suite dirt cheap. I can book rooms dirt cheap at any CENDANT hotel, so if there is no Fairfield I usually stay in one of those. Vegas has a lot of CENDANT hotels, but none of them have casinos, so I opted for the Gold Coast only because it has a casino and sportsbook. I've stayed there before and I liked it, don't like paying through the roof at a lot of the bigger ones. I'll take the cheap ones because I don't stay in my room that much anyway, but now since Radana works for Fairfield I can book a lot of hotels for 30-70 USD/night which usually cost 150-200 USD/night. I just did that on an upcoming trip to Ocean City, MD this summer staying at Days Inn Oceanfront.

i'd love to go to vegas.....

but a problem that i have is we will be returning from a 10 day trip through calif.on 6/26.....

since i gave up casino gambling (that's why i always go with my wife), & i don't bet on either baseball or the nba, i'll probably would just hang around the hotel pool during the day...which i don't really mind.....nothing like getting drunk & baking in the sun....

but what about the evening.....

jack, do you have any ideas on what to do as far as get togethers ?......

maybe we'll take a drive up to vegas for the weekend....

my wife just came into my office & read what i was typing.....she said she's game...

i'll have to let you know.....
