Vigilante or Guardian?

he didn't even get arrested and he wasn't in danger, he went to them

what do you think about this?

i think allowing this crap encourages more of the same and sometimes the wrong people are going to get killed or bystanders.

you very possibly could be right. or maybe the neighbors said that they were going away and watch the house. (maybe they had been broken into before) the bottom line was that they were breaking into the house and if they didn't want to get shot don't break in. they put themselves in that position. just like I did today when I bet the colts! **** NUT!

Could have shot them in the legs. On the other hand, you have to know you are putting your life in danger when you are premedatating a burglary. Those are the chances they took. What the **** gives them the right to break into someone's house and take shit that isn't their's.

I hear what you are saying Jack. Would be a lot different if they were supposed to be there and he killed them. I am glad he got it right and there are 2 less scumbags in the world...

I am a Correction Officer and I had an inmate tell me recently that he never hurt anyone, he just broke into houses and stole stuff. I then told him about the house I lived in when I was a little kid, in a nice neighborhood. We only lived there for about a year, because we were broken into 3 times. One time we came home and my mother told us to wait in the car, because she felt something wasn't right (my father wasn't home). She went in the front door and was walking up the stairs to the main level. At the top of the stairs if you went left it went towards the bedrooms and there was a closet right there at the beginning of the hallway. As my mother was walking up the stairs she heard coat hangers moving in the closet and turned and ran out. God knows what would of happened if she ran into the burglar.

There is nothing like the feeling of being violated after your home has been burglarized. I was only a little kid and never felt comfortable in that house again. Even after we moved I think it took a while to feel good in my own home.

this time it appears the guy got the right guys. suppose it was relatives or a mistake or the homeowners themselves? people can't go running around shooting other people. hell, the cops hardly would get away with that. know what i mean?

this nutjob gets to shoot and kill them before they have a trial?

i can't be convinced.

911 told the guy to wait until the police got there. who the **** does he think he is anyway?

Feck those two punk asses!

I am certainly not for vigilante justice, but it's got to stop somewhere. I'd let Joe live beside me any day.

Showing that picture of the burglar with his kid twice was a direct attempt to make that crook look like a loving family man by ABC.

Those two fuc ks got exactly what they deserved. What gives those two scumbags the right to rob someone and get away with it? How many times have they done this prior to being shot and killed? They should have waited until the cops came but apparently they tried to flee.

you guys are still missing my point.

i'm saying that prople just can't go around taking the law into their own hands.

also, these punks were running away and not threatening joe in any way.

i guess he shot them in the back and that's cool with you guys?

i always thought you can't shoot somebody unless they are IN your home and pose a thread to your life. this guy runs people down and shoots them in the back. that's cool?

supose these guys were at joe's neighbors house to legally reposess their car and got shot doing their job? that's exactly what's going to start happening if we let people arm themselves and play big bad cop.

I agree with you Jack, I travel quite a bit with job, and I have a couple of friends with keys come by and check on my dogs. What if someone thought they were robbing my place and shot my friends for doing something I asked them to do?

Belongings can be replaced but lives cannot!

this was his next door neighbor. I live on a quiet dead end street. when I go away my neighbor knows it. if someone was coming over to check on something, they'd know that too. they would use the keys I gave them and come thru the front door. maybe breaking a window on the side of the house and climbing thru it was a tipoff, I don't know. on the 911 tape, the caller says "move, your dead". I'm guessing the opposite would also be true, (don't move, you're not dead) the robbers had a choice...

MJ I am in complete agreement with you. NO ONE has the right to just start shooting people. The only time I think it should be acceptable is if it were to prevent clear physical harm to another person.

This shit is crazy.

On the course!
Joe Horn? :mj07: Those guys are always looking for the limelight!

You know why guys break into empty houses? Because no neighbor is going to shove a shotty up their ass, and pull the trigger!

Well, good for Joe! I hope Budweiser make a commercial for this guy!

That's a good neighbor, and the rest of the community better start passing the hat for the guy.

This guy was sitting AT HOME, heard some shit next door, and said, "I don't think so, boys!" He called the cops, and they didn't get there in time. He didn't go out looking to kill some punks, like some of you want to paint this up.

Again:

Obey the law, and chances are, a beatin' or a bullet won't find you!

Then, you got ol girl sittin' with the corn in her lap, talking about how her old man didn't deserve that. Don't talk about how he should have been working, instead of stealin' some other folks shit!

Like Fiddy said: "Get rich, or die tryin.........."

Guess what boys?

Hell I don't know
It seems that the neighbor acted within his rights according to Texas State Law. Nobody forced those guys to rob houses in that state. If they didn't want to get shot by a neighbor they should burglarize houses in California.... However I don't know anything about Texas Law.. I'm just going by what I saw on that clip.
