A guy sees a rusted out 89 Chevy next to a brand new Lincoln Navigator. Both have the keys in them, and he's looking to heist some wheels.

Do you think he's picking the one closest to him, or does he have enough fuking smarts to know one is worth a hell of a lot more?

All of you still aren't seeing the point. You CANT just go around shooting people you think are stealing.

Very true, you can't just go around shooting people you think are breaking the law. But from what we are told about this case, Good Joe didn't have to "think" they were doing anything because he was actually watching them do it.
