cie,how was a law going to stop this guy?....he had no actual red flags(unless you consider a bad attitude enough to bring him in for a state mandated psych exam)......
if you`re championing taking ALL guns away from citizens,then you need a serious reality check......try that and you`ll tear this country in half....
I`m trying to be realistic here...that isn`t happening....unless you want to see a second civil war in our lifetime...
there are costs to living in a free and open society...we saw what happened on 9/11 and people aren`t happy about the liberty they`ve lost as a result....I`m pretty sure that some advocating the taking of guns also want the tsa and it`s heavy handed protocols rescinded....well,you can`t have it both ways...
disarming the populace isn`t a plan.....the criminals will always be able to get guns....law abiding citizens will be disarmed....not criminals....the American people just won`t stand for it...
btw....anybody install windows 10?...these reminders to install are a real pain....

Who said disarm the populace? You're being kinda weird about this. I said restrict ownership. It is is proven globally that lower gun ownership rates = less gun crime. Period.
Why would you even ask if lower gun ownership rates would stop this particular murder? Obviously, the realistic goal is to lessen gun crime. To eradicate gun crime is unfeasible....I think even Japan has an occasional shooting
To me, the more restrictions the better..for starters, convicted criminals of any kind should lose their right to own or possess a firearm with mandatory sentences for those caught in possesion.
Huge pain....I can't upgrade to 10...compatability issues with my estimatics software... so guess I'll deal with reminders long term:facepalm:

True Hedge, but my comment about hedge shears was not actually a smart ass remark, 37 years ago i was nearly killed by a "friend" who had mental issues, one step slower I woulda had them (the hedge shears) thru my back, rather than the back of my leg
