Got through the weekend with only mild bruises. Let's see what WEEKDAY wacin produces...
Comments on today's card:
Only a so/so card for a Monday; still beats weekend cards at this track though. On a good note - looks like there's plenty of beatable favorites, in fact, EASILY beatable. On a bad note - I'm pretty sure many of those beatable favorites (M.L.) AIN'T gonna be favored at post time.
Race 2
No. 1, Mystical Light, 9-2 . I don't think it makes sense to list all the dang wheeling and dealing I'm gonna do with this hoss. IF he's a winniah - pretty sho the tri is mine... if he runs 2nd it's pretty safe to say the zacta is mine. For the sake of posting.. let's make him a W/Pl/Sh (only 2x for me cause I'm kinda heavy into the zotics). I also have a 4/2/1 straight tri going though for 2 stinkin bucks. Might as well add that - if he runs outa the moola - I'll be starting today with some more bruises fosho.... if the nos. ain't 4-2-1.
Biggest reason I like this one is (1) I've seen what he can do and (2) cause I believe he's gonna have clear sailing with the two slow pokes leaving the gate along side of him. No. 4 is dangerous in this race, but it's gonna have to run some to get by "Light" and if it sits second, the 2 and the 6 may block the 4 in early stretch. Think "Light" may have enough gas left to hang on. Excellent jockey on his back helps too. Well, hope so.
Race 4
DEFINITELY do NOT recommend anybody plays along with the cwazy pick I got for this race. This horse just LUVS to run last. I'm playing the hoss cause I liked (and posted) her a few weeks back at tremendous odds. She showed a little life in her previous race and she's a Philly old timer. OH YEAH, she ran her race alright that day I picked her - finished dead last (field of 11 too), beaten by double digit lengths which she is very accustomed to do.
Well, she showed she's alive at Atantic City (NO, NO, she didn't finish in the money; she was 6th BUT NOT LAST). I gotta play her today but still not sure how. Rest assured the tickets will be small ones. I ain't that wacko.
Why do I bother even posting her? ACTUALLY, I don't wanna come in here tomorrow and write about how I nailed a $100+ winnah today without posting her.
Ooops, almost forgot.. her name is Mi Preciosa.
Race 5
Mdn races are usually skipped. But no. 3, Knocked Out, 9-2 looks awfully tough in here. Won't have high hope of getting that M.L. on this one though.
Race 6
No. 7, High Player, 7-2. Hey, what the hell is "The Big Stable" doing here at broken down Philly Wace Twack?? :0023
Thems a Class A outfit outa Gulfstream. Maybe the Philly players won't recognize this and let this one go off at them nice M.L. odds YUM MEE.
Race 8
Thought this race was MY KINDA RACE. Know the horses, like this distance, etc. Well, not after going over it real careful like .... for NUTHIN.
My nos. say the no. 1 moiders da bums. I'm just not so sure about that though. If he looks real good on the track I'll bite. The ones I'm gonna be sure to check out are the nos. 3 and 4, they're the two longest shots in the race. I DO know that, on either's good day, they can compete with these and surely have a better chance than 20-1 to beatem.
(gotta shorten up, getting out of breath with all the typing and all . Won't be doing this tommorow just to read it back to myself)
Race 9
No. 3 is the bestest bet of the day.(So far, that is. Didn't check out last race yet)
No. 8 has the figures
No. 6, Sum Chance. If ya can just ignore his last race and checkout his previous 3 races (not long ago and not lower class neither).. and thems got him listed at 20-1. 20-1? :00x12
I don't sink so!
That's what I'm up to . G.L.
