And while I'm at it, I was considering getting Home Depot to install a new door, but a quick google search on "home depot door installation" just convinced me I shouldnt go that route. NOthing but bad reviews......

At this point you will need to go see your Agent, face to face I recommend. But I would say yes, you have 'officially' filed a claim. I also cannot answer how Sate Farm will or won't handle your rates but I would expect it to go up.
Do it yourself. I'm sure someone in the neighborhood will help you. It's not that hard.

The door frame is so ****ed up I wouldnt have a clue how to fix this myself. I'll just hire a contractor from the yellow pages.
