Dermot Mulroney to star in "Rockford" update

Dermot Mulroney is NBC's new Jim Rockford.

In his first regular TV role, Mulroney is set to play the iconic private eye in the network's updated take on the hit 1970s drama that starred James Garner in the title role.

The new Jim Rockford is described as "slightly crumpled, wry humored, cynical, world weary, compassionate when it's called for and easily irritated by morons."

His troubled past includes doing some time as a convict and as a cop.

Aside from an arc on NBC's "Friends" in 2003, "My Best Friend's Wedding" co-star Mulroney has been focused on features, most recently appearing in "Burn After Reading."

NBC's "Rockford Files" was written by "House" creator David Shore, who is executive producing with Steve Carell.

I'm supposed to believe this twerp as Jim Rockford? Not happening. I hope the REAL Rockford shows up on the set and knocks the snot out of this pretender....:box2:

The Minnesota Vikings every Sunday during the football season at noon... Sometimes at 3 PM.. Nothing pumped me up more when you heard Mossberger say, "You are looking live at Metropolitan Stadium."

Now for Sitcoms:
Just about all of them in the 80s..
From Different Strokes, All in the Fam, 3s company, to Growining Pains, Who's the Boss (loved Alyssa Milano) Had many teen beat pics of her on my wall.. Wonder Years.. I can't think of many I didn't like.. Even watch Alf it was on Mondays before football:00hour

Have to say I forgot...but really loved...Charles in Charge. Great theme song too.

I had a huge crush on Nicole Eggert...and probably Scott Baio too.

Anyone ever watch The Hogan Family? How about a very short-lived show that also had Jason Bateman called "Its Your Move". That Bateman family....except for Teen Wolf 2...has got some talent :)
