Aren't there some kinds of portable chargers available? Something that will charge it several times if needed. And quickly.

I bought some POS thing that cost me like 50 bucks and it wasn't worth a damn. Sixfive has a box that does the trick but it's kinda big to carry around especially in the summer when pocket space is limited without a jacket.

Not too keen on the phone case charger either.

You could get one of the numerous smart phones that have better battery lives than the iphone.
Yeah, I know, and I know what I want but I don't want to switch right before a week in Vegas. Changing email, apps, learning a new phone, etc, is going to be a pain in the ass for awhile.

they are out there....Rocky gave me a little charger (uses a 123A lithium battery) he got as a comp at Palms Casino in Las Vegas, works great! Not much bigger than a AA battery with a cord. Came with a box of 12 different charging tips ya can snap on...

What's it called? Brand, markings on it, anything to identify it? Sounds like just the thing I want.

Will it fully charge your phone? How long does it take? Will it charge it multiple times?

Thanks, that's what I think I need.

I've only used it a handful of times on planes or at the airport for brief periods to give my phone or tablet more juice. Don't think I have ever used it to fully charge the phone, so not sure how long that would actually take.

it fully charged my old phone. But that is not hard to do...I'm sure it would charge an iphone quite a bit, but probably not full...it gave me enuf extra juice to make a call a few minutes after battery dead and phone shut off - that's what I wanted it for.

tho was small and cylindrical, it was about the size of this cheap Duracell charger I've seen about...

I have the Mophie from the Apple store itself. It works great and the more expensive one will recharge your phone about 8 times. Its small and fits in your pocket, the shitty part is it needs a cord to plug into phone. Plus is it also charges any other apple product and can charge 2 things at once.

Close all your apps

lol I do that every time I close one.

My concern is being in casinos for 8 days. The phones are always searching for a signal and it kills the battery very quickly. I need to be in touch with email, especially week 1 of the NFL season.

Thanks for all the replies, everybody. I am on the right track now.

Joker recommends this one as well. I'm checking it out now.
