My favorite fish is Ahi Tuna , seasoned with steak rub seared about 2 minutes on each side, medium rare. Dip in soy sauce .... it?s just as tasty as a good steak to me! I still force myself to eat Salmon once every couple weeks, heavy on the old bay and hot sauce. Wild Salmon only.....

Mahi mahi is another favorite of mine. I like it medium rare with no seasonings other than a bit of cracked pepper while grilling it, then a bit of fresh squeezed lemon juice and it?s dinner time.

If you get bones in Pearch, someone screwed up. Just lazy.

I must have confused it with blue gill or something else. Maybe I never had perch. :0008

Not a big fan of fish, but walleye with lemon on the grill is very good.

Do you guys consider shrimp as fish?

I consider shrimp as shell fish and not the same as fish. I dunno what the seafood police think of that?

My favorite is Crappie. Might be hard to get.

Walleye are also outstanding as are bluegill and (wild caught not pond raised) catfish.

Ocean fish, my favorite is is Mahi Mahi (also called dolphin and dorado) and red snapper. Both are very mild and delicious.

Pass on Tilapia. They are a bottom feeding trash fish. Pass.

Think I have posted in the food section before but Blackened Snapper(vermilion, white(really a porgy), and lane are my favorites) and/or Grouper(scamp is best) is hard to beat in my opinion. I do a good bit of fishing in the gulf so we tend to eat more than most families. My wife and kids love it as well as the "Buffalo Style" I make.

Good fresh flaky white fish is hard to beat:toast:

You have recipes posted in the food forum for the blackened snapper and the buffalo style fish? If not, can you post them? :0008

My favorite (but pricy) is Chilean Sea Bass. It is a "Meatier" white fish with its own oils, so it is always very moist when cooked. Outstanding - expensive in restaurants. When buying it in a store (like a Whole Foods or something like that), always ask to smell it before purchasing, as sometimes it can get a fishy smell - which is not good.

I eat all fish, but Chilean Sea Bass is my favorite, by far!!
