ones I think of when I think of loads of talent and not already mentioned...

Jerry Lee Lewis

Roy Orbison

Geoff Tate My personal favorite, and I guess he gets discounted because of his genre?

for the women...

Whitney Houston

Nina Simone

Emmylou Harris

Madonna

Rihanna (she's still very young, but she's loaded with talent but underwhelmed on choosing men  ).

Where it is real F ing COLD
I am more for heavy music and would have to say I love James Hetfield but it is obvious that he is no where close to being the most talented. I would have to agree about Freddie Mercury.. He sang many variety of songs, from ballads, to slow dance, rock, to punk at times. I could never vote for Elton John because that fairy made a remake of the Who's "Pinball Wizard." He totally fucked that up. Robert Plant was good but definitely the most talented. Michael Jackson would have to be up there. Hasn't that guy sold more albums than anyone else? There is really no right answer, t is just personal opinion. To see some argue about it is comical and that is another reason why I like this site. I can find something on here to make me laugh even when the teams I bet on BLOW.

Some of you guys are just listing your favorite artists, which kind of misses the point. Roy Orbison a talented singer? I can understand you liking his songs or his voice, but come on Clint.

Robert Plant? Bono? :142smilie
