I like liver sausage.

Gotta get it from a good butcher shop.

I agree with YYZ. The stuff in the plastic tube or paper wrapper isn't as good as the stuff from a good butcher in the natural casings.

Tried it just once. Thought it was some health food from Germany and brought it home and cut into it and the flies tore out my screen windows getting out. Also lost a good dog named snow..

Liver oh no! Hotdog with ketchup that can happen.:0074

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Good stuff!

A favorite of my mom's (and me!), she worked in a deli in MA that sold this stuff: Usinger Natural Casing Braunschweiger.

"Using Fred Usinger?s old world recipe?this has been our specialty since 1880. Generations have loved the incomparable taste of this delicately seasoned liver sausage with a creamy texture that is smoked just right. Our Braunschweiger with thinly sliced onion on rye is considered the perfect Milwaukee sandwich"

note - Usinger's does a lot of mail-order business!
