I smoke 3 to 5 Cigars a week, depending where I am. I don't smoke in the house or car so I usually go to a strip club or a Cigar friendly bar/restaurant. Started smoking cigars 20 or so years ago. I like Padron's 1964, CAO MX2, AVO and a real Cohiba Cuban when I can find one, which is rare.

Started toying with smoking when I was around 15. Smoked about a pack on average per day until I got married 3 years ago and really just cut back to being a weekend smoker (but would smoke a pack when I went out). Quit for good this past October. I guess I don't have the addiciton as much as some because when I decided to quit in October, I haven't looked back.

I was always a Camel Light guy until marriage then switched to Parliment Lights due to the old lady.

I smoked when I was younger. Now I only smoke when drink, which is a night or two a week.

I'm all good till that alcohol gets in me, then I feel the urge.

I'm the same as toast...I used to smoke quite a bit in college...now its just when I drink I like to smoke but Columbus has a smoking ban in place so now I smoke even less when I'm out because I have to go outside just to have a smoke

1 pack, 1 can of chew, and 12-24 cans of beer, double that on the weekend. For the last 30 years.

1/2 pack a day marlboro lights. chicago just doubled the tax on smokes today. about $7-$8 a pack in the city $5-$6 a pack in the burbs. It will only be a matter of time before only the rich can afford to smoke.

Have not kicked it either--sad to say--but Bear quiting kinda gives me reinforcement to keep trying.

Wow C them are some expensive smokes--little over $20 a carton here.

If the tax went for medical services it wouldn't be so bad.

My thoughts on matter if they are going to tax items of health related matters--and since obesity is leader by far--
My suggeston to make things fair--is have scales at door of every restaurant and have per lb sur-tax on those overweight --tit for tat:)

Had one grandfather chewed 2 plugs of "days work" a day--died at age 95--other grandfather rolled his own--died age 81 in farming accident.

i just hope it isn't too late. it was too late for my dad and he definitely wishes he would have quit before too late. last time the coughing and wheezing quit after about one week. i'm hoping for the same this time. last time i gained about 25 pounds and i didn't think that would happen. this time the priority is quitting and worry about the weight later. if it sounds like i'm trying to convince myself, that's right! i have 6 weeks to prepare my mind and i'm going in with the best attitude possible.

I have smoked almost a pack a day since I was about 14.... I quit at one point a few years back, but it only lasted for a few months.... :violin:

i watched my grandfather live with a hole in his throat from throat cancer and my father has had bladder cancer.... My grandfather quit the moment he found out he had cancer, but it was too late.... He passed away in 1983. Both were life long smokers.... My idiot father still smokes almost 2 packs a day after watching his dad die of cancer and after having his own bladder removed.... I suppose that I'm not much better, considering that I am still somking away with very little thought of the consequences....
