Scott - Post the article that states the facts you made up again.

Friday, Nov. 14th - Tucson Citizen article by Shelly Lewellen
Game offers UA chance to watch Chow in action(title of article)

Although USC is a private school and doesn't have to release coaches' salaries, people in the industry said Chow was given a raise last year for staying put. He is estimated to make 500,000 a year.
He and his wife Diane, have three grown children but his son Chandler still attends high school in Provo, Utah. Chow commutes back to Utah to see his wife and son. He will continue to do so for the next year and a half as his son is a junior. They don't want to move until he has finished high school. Chow said the only way he will buy a home would be if he was given a head coaching position at a university.

***You are a such a fool Scott. Caught lying again. I set you up like a little child knowing you would bite. I had this article set aside waiting for your stupid USC rants. So go read the rest of the article you fool. Lastly, don't ever try to tell me that I don't post anything worthwhile. I have more info on each team than you will ever have. You just started something that you will not finish. Believe me when I say this, you will not be on this board much longer. To call me out like you just did is exactly what I wanted so the administrator and Jack can see what you are doing. I will have the last laugh.

You are truly one sad individual. I really feel sorry for you.

I'll see if I can look up the Chow article for you. Chow might make 500k but recieved a big bonus. I have heard from people he makes close to a million. I could have been told the wrong information. But it makes sense because he has turned down head coaching jobs. Chow was searching for a home in Los Angeles. It was in the newspaper and was on the radio. He also did tell Booty and his father he would be here. Chow is very close with Booty's father and also promised Bootys father he would not play Booty in the first 3 games. He did not want his son thrown into the fire.
Yes I know promises are often not kept in sports business, but Chow to me seems like a class act.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!

Its funny you continue to read my threads :D
Why don't you do what you preach and put me on "your" ignore list and leave my debates/threads alone. Your posts and opinions are worthless to me. You never post anything productive and always lash out at me. Get a clue, I do not care about what you think about me and its sad you try and recruit others not to reply to my threads.

So you think I don't post anything productive. Guess we will let Jack decide who does post productive things and who starts threads and makes remarks based on nothing.

WOW, lets have madjack come in a decide who is the most worthy poster. (like i care) Do you want to call our mommies and have them decide too?

GET A CLUE, i do not care for you or what you post about. What you post in my threads have no meaning to me and are not productive. Why you continue to come into my threads i will never know. I truly feel sorry for you and maybe madjack can council you about your obsession with me. Go deal with him, not me.

You are the one who has made threats to me and called me names numerous times. I refuse to participate in that immature activity with you. Now go cry about your infatuation with me to madjack.

Now leave me alone because I have nothing to do with you anymore.

I'm on your side!! I REALLY want USC to play OU in the National Championship game. There is alot of revenge that the Sooners would like to get out of their system on them. It would be a very fun arse whipping to watch!!

Go USC, Go USC , Go USC!!!!!!!!

OU 63
USC 3 (4th qtr against 4th string defense and band walk-ons)

Go USC, Go USC............. :moon: :p

I totally agree Jaycadd.
1) I think OSU or LSU's defense gives OU offense a harder time.
2) I think USC's offense will be no match for OU's defense.
3) Bob Stoops is the best coach in America, and will have something for Pete Carroll's arse when it comes gametime.

Just my opinion, BOOMER SOONER!

31-7 Sooners roll:D

The fact is OSU played ugly last year and won. They play ugly this year and win. They will play ugly next year as well. Tressel knows how to win. Keep the game close and force the other teams to make the mistakes and take advantage of them in the end. Until the BCS uses margin of victory in the rankings Tressel wont change his game plan. Great defenses and special teams win ball games. The Buckeyes may lose to Michigan Saturday but it will be a close game. If OSU wins it will be with there special teams play and Michigans lack of. Either way dont blame the Buckeyes blame the BCS its the system they came up with.

USC fans are truly one of a kind. I live in SC land and I talk to people who say this years team would beat last years Miami team by 3 td's. They are a little arrogant. As much as I hate SC, they are the 2nd best team in the nation and will give OU a fight of a lifetime in New Orleans if they play which they wont.

My prediciton is this, SC destroys UCLA, Michigan beats OSU and the next week SC may lose to Oregon State a very very very underated team. Boy would LSU fans and Wolverine fans love that.

As for the big-10 pac-10 who was better? conf rank in parenthesis

OSU(t1) beatss UW (7) in Columbus
purdue (3) beats arizona (t10)in west lafayette
iowa (t5)beats (t10) asu in iowa city

UW (7) beats IU (10) in Seattle
ORE (t4) beats Mich (t1) in Eugene
cal (t4) beats illinios (11)in champaign
ucla (t4) beat illinios (11)in pasadena

i think the pac has held its own vs the big-10

Could debate all day long about which is the better conference but I know this - 2 of the PAC-10's wins were against Illinois, one of the worst teams in the country. And if my memory serves me, the Illini could have tied UCLA with a last second field goal and had somewhat of a chance against Cal, USC's lone defeat.

I think your forgetting Oregon beat Michigan. Selective memory, uh? Cal outplayed and beat up on Illinois. Illinois just made plays in garbage time and made it close at end. Oregon game as well was not even as close as the outcome. The refs made a horrible call against Oregon and was a 14pt turnaround in the 1st q. Oregon still overcame that to beat the #1 team in the Big 10. Big 10 has not done well playing on the west coast. Maybe thats why Ohio St. only plays at home. I think both conferenes are good, and both play different style football.

bgold13

I agree, Oregon St. is a good team and USC better be ready to play. USC has a bye after the UCLA game then plays OSU @home. USC will not take OSU lightly (need the win for Rose Bowl and NC). Interestingly, Carroll said in the beginning of the year that WSU and OSU were going to be the 2 toughest opponents for USC.

No selective memory, fully aware of that game. Michigan got beat, by a decent team in one of the toughest places to play in the country.

Not sure that Cal outplayed Illinois that day.

Total yards
Cal - 368
Illinois - 496

Illinois, again, one of the worst teams in the country, puts up 500 total yards against the #5 defense in the PAC-10. All you need to know about defense out there.

Cal returns a punt 70 yds in the last minute of the first half to go up 14 at the break.

Illinois failed to score 2 of their 4 times in the red zone, Cal scored 4 of their 5.

Upon review, I will revise earlier statement that Illini had 'somewhat' of a chance to win that game. Couple of plays go the other way, they do win that game.

All I was saying was that based on head to head matchups this fall, there is no way to say that one conference is better than the other.

cal was not playing well then, rodgers wasnt the staritng qb back then and echimandu hadnt began running with confidence. And 2 of the big ten wins were against arizona and arizona state, the pac beat your best with one of their worst.

The 4th place team in the conference is one of the worst? Please. Stats aside, I watch enough of that conference's games on Saturday nights to know better than that.

Illinois average margin of defeat to PAC-10 foes - 5.0

Illinois average margin of defeat to Big-10 foes - 26.9

That one ought to fit in real well with a lot of the logic thrown around in this thread.

if your factoring in margin of defeat than you should include ohio state in your numbers! They escaped with their tales between their legs after the SDSU game.
And yes I consider Oregon one of the worst teams in the pac-10. The lost 56-14 or something to a horrible ASU team. They beat Cal by horrible play calling in the end and scored 10 points in 3 minutes, I consider Oregon to be only better than Arizona and Stanford in the conf. Ducks got no D and they shut down UM

Interesting that you pointed out Oregon State BGold as I was thinking the same thing about the potential upset of USC. Still, the Trojans may be a little too much.

Regarding the Big 10 and their performances, yeah, they aren't that outstanding are they? Especially compared to the Pac 10 both conferences look like they may be a little down. Michigan's performance against Oregon was certainly horrible to say the least but I do think a lot of that was having to travel to the West. . . but still its no excuse as good teams should play well no matter where they have to go.

In the end, we have to look at how Michigan is playing right now: their offense is rolling. If (and certainly a BIG BIG IF) Ohio State can shut down this offense the way the way this offense is clicking right now and win this game at Michigan, then I believe they could do the same to USC. Yeah, Scott and others will disagree with me because they feel USC has a better offense than any Big 10 team, but Michigan has one of the most balanced offenses playing the game right now having played better defenses than USC has faced. . . especially at home. If they can stop this Michigan team from putting up decent offensive numbers and thus win the game with their limited offense and stellar defense (which will be finally determined how stellar it really is on Saturday), then I believe they deserve a shot to repeat no matter what USC does the rest of the way.

That's just the way I feel and the way I see it. . . obviously USC fans/backers have great points as well given how Ohio State has struggled to get here while USC has basically coasted except for Cal. But the fact is Ohio State has only lost one game just like USC and that's all the BCS standings see and care about.
