I couldn't believe -250 odds on Zags. That is an absolute GIFT, IMO. Hop will turn 43 in a few days and there is NO way he beats a near prime Zags. A young Hop would have had all kinds of trouble w/a volume puncher like Zags. How on earth can the 43 yr old version deal w/it??? I just wagered 1250 to win 500. I hope the other sites post odds because I will wager BIG money on this. I think the only question is whether Hop will be able to absorb punishment over the course of 12. Zags doesn't let up and I get the feeling he would love nothing more than to end his career w/a defining stoppage win over Hopkins.

The Greek offered -270, still a BARGAIN IMO. I have 3160 to win 1200.

can you say -180 ?
5dimes over a week ago but 100 limit.
It opened probably lower. feel out lines should be banned.
I also like the under because its a great double chance and a little insurance. Because the only way Hop wins this one is on big money homerun right hand.
I hope the tv is a good job hyping this one and make it look more even than it is.

Never- Kessler landed at least two of those and he hits harder then Hop.

I dont think that kessler loads up like Hops. Hopkins looks like a computer game when he throws that punch huge overhand right with a step in.
My point was though that IF Hop wins than by stoppage. unlikley but give me 40 to 1 and i play it in a heartbeat. And Joe gets reckless esp when he is in charge but he takes a fin punch and is ready to go again almost in seconds.

Agreed w/both of you. Kessler landed some bombs that would have stopped some hvys and Hop sure isn't going to be nearly as busy as Kessler nor do I think he hits as hard as Kessler. I believe Hops only chance is landing a Sunday punch but I don't see it happening. His only 1 punch KO in recent memory is the love tap he got Oscar out of there with. Zags will dominate this fight.

Great odds on Hopkins. He will rough Calzaghe up and win a decision.

Not so fast brother Romi. I haven't seen Hopkins get hit in his last five fights all against champions. I think he picks Cal apart cause Cal aint never saw anything like this. Now the chin is the problem for Hopkins cause Cal has a great one. Hopefully Kessler soften it a up a little. Nobody knocks Hopkins out. To to crafty. I just don't like all the holding Hopkins does now which most likely shows his age. My heart say's Hopkins my head says Cal by a decision. I can't bet against the pride of Philly. I hope its BHops last fight and he goes balls against the wall. To me BHop is the greatest defensive fighter of my lifetime. Lets not forget BHop almost knocked out the light Heavyweight Champion. Winky gave everyone fits but BHop nuetralized him. Man oh man i get to see my favorite MMA fighter take the title in March and watch BHop in April. doesn't get any better than that.

I thought the rule was never bet with your heart Spongy. As far as Winky goes- his best fighting weight was 154 and he's okay at 160. He was a fat, slow, Krispy Kreme fella at 170 and it wasn't as if Hop dominated him. Zags has fought at 168 from day one and now will welcome very much alll the extra meals come fight week just like BHop does now after hanging at 160 for too long to set records. . Didn't Tarver fight Hop after being a fat heavyweight against Rocky Balboa. Tarver looked like he was on vallium that night. Father Time waits for no one and Zags spelled it out- "How's he gong to beat me- he throws 12 punches a round" Hops will try and make this as ugly as possible. It's all money for him and Golden Boy- he shouldn't be fighting, greed is setting in, he's disrespected his deceased Mother, and he may very well have it coming to him here. Did he really think his dull, holding ass was gonna fill Yankee Stadium $$$$$$$$. I hope Joe stops the ol bastard.

This is another gift from the Gods.:00hour

Joe is just as fast and strong as Taylor but without the stamina issues.

This is going to be a looong night for B Hop.

Absolutely see ti like you. How is Hopkins going to slow down Zag's motor? Even if he can weave and deflect more than other boxer's, he's still got to get his own shots off. Kudos to him, if he can, but I'll be all over Zag's once it up. Calzaghe will stal the rounds, because it'll look like he's landing.

It is still the rule. I will just watch. Seems you guys are basing this whole fight on Cal's last fight. Winky is high volume also, and it didn't seem to matter. I know everyone thinks Winky was fat but i think that was a tad over blown because of the doughnut skit on HBO. My point is that i don't think this is gonna be as easy as a lot of you think. I also think Cal is gonna get hit a lot more clevery than he did against Kessler. When i see Hopkins skills start to vanish i will be on board but i haven't seen it yet. His lack of pushing the ticket is the only thing i see that worries me. Its just hard to hit this sucker. Best punch slipper i ever saw. No way i would bet inside the distance on this one. Punchy have they settled on a location on this one? I hear Vegas and then i hear NY.

I don?t like betting against hopkins the way I wouldn?t bet against toney over the past few years. If he does nothing else, he imposes his style on the other guy and takes away their gameplan. Though calzaghe?s lateral footwork is much better than winky and tarver?s, maybe he can keep the gap throughout to throw combos.

A big factor will be Hopkins head, and if he can cut calzaghe with it. Can someone elaborate on Calzaghe?s history with cuts? if Hopkins starts losing badly he?ll resort to headbutting in close, which could mean DQ or early scorecards.

Im playing the under, don't know about sides yet. I definitely see Calzaghe winning, I just dont like betting against Hop.

Ill have more thoughts on this later.

Great odds on Hopkins. He will rough Calzaghe up and win a decision.

and this is in vegas...when was the last time calzaghe beat a "legit" opponent outside of wales or england?(and veit doesn`t count).....

not saying he can`t...just saying, imo, home court in boxing is worth a ton....

time and again you see these guys getting full of themselves after piling up huge records and then travelling for a big fight...and learning the hard way...

never underestimate the home field(or not having it)...and the lefty thing?.....talk to winky and tarver...

if the odds are decent,i`ll take some b.hop....

could go either way..therefore,i`ll take the odds...

Agreed, BTW Hopkins has never lost to a southpaw. Fighting a lefty isn't a big deal because his best punch is his right hand and he's not that reliant on his jab.

My head is starting to tell me Hopkins. Now this is a fight i will take the dog because i think he is a live dog. In my book Kessler wins the last round he wins the last fight. Cal got hit a lot in that fight and im not impressed with his power. If this goes under its not Cal who is gonna be doing the knocking out. Weepaul Mayweather was a gift from the gambling gods. This is no gift. I will wait for Romi to put up his million on Cal so i can jump in and get a nice payday(if win) Only if i can time it right before Weasel dumps his Mil on Hopkins. Weasel lets work together on this one. Gonna be a lot of that across the pond money on Cal in this one, especially now that Hopkins open that big fat mouth of his. Boy he makes it hard to like him.

I will be dumping a shitload on Joe, so you might as well wait on me as well as Romi LOL.

I do believe this is another gift. In my opinion, Joe already beat his toughest competition when he beat Kessler (I lost $1,000 on Kessler).

No matter who you believe won the 2 fights between Hop and Taylor, they were tough fights for Bernard. Joe is just as fast as Taylor but without stamina problems. Joe will beat Bernard.

joe may well win.....that`s why he`s a 2-1 fave......speed does give b.hop trouble.....and you guys are right...bernard is 43.....he`ll have to hit the wall at some point...

maybe here...

but, i don`t think calzaghe and taylor are similar...

certainly no comparisons can be drawn from calzaghe`s win over a come at you stand-up european style fighter like kessler and hopkins...

matter of fact, who, from calzaghe`s resume, can be compared to hopkins?...calzaghe`s fought an awful lot of stiff, raw or one dimensional guys...

and this is at 168 isn`t it?....i actually think that benefits b.hop...he always looked emaciated at 160.....

how`s joe gonna react to not having every advantage on his own turf?...how`s he gonna react to that insane roughhouse style that bernard imposes on most guys...

this won`t be kessler at arms length allowing joe to move him around..or an unskilled lacy...or sheika...or a stiff mario veit....

calzaghe`s opponents since 2000...

David Starie,Omar Sheika,Richie Woodhall,Mario Veit,Will McIntyre,Charles(the chin) Brewer,Miguel Angel Jimenez,Tocker Pudwill,Byron Mitchell,Mger Mkrtchian,Kabary Salem,Mario Veit,Evans Ashira,Jeff Lacy,Sakio Bika,Peter Manfredo Jr,Mikkel Kessler....

he fought veit the second time in germany...and macintyre in denmark...every other fight vs this murderer`s row was in the u.k....

how many h.o.f.`ers in that group?...

..now he`s got crafty old bernard...who`s an inch and a half taller.....the consumate counter puncher...who knows what to do with a lefty....

all i`m sayin` is,this is not a slam dunk for joe....imo....

be careful...

and btw..night caller...think hard about that under,brother...these guys don`t stop so easily...
