that is my question exactly?
Isn't healthcare a little more important? What do you think?
What has its being more important got to do with its being an entitlement?
Either you make your own decisions for health care, or you turn them over to the government. In the form of someone like Hillary Clinton, which is to say an utter incompetent without any clue that she's utterly incompetent. She will then charge you hundreds of billions of dollars, and see to it that you get whatever care she and associates think is appropriate. Which means, after she and her cronies and her 1001 special-interest groups have eaten out the buffet, you'll get to lick the sneez-gard.
You shouldn't be theorizing about this stuff if you're really interested. Socialized medicine has 100 years of history behind it. The upshot is that it doesn't work. It means waiting lists and huge taxes. The fools say its free, but nothing is free, and socialized medicine is a lot more expensive than market medicine. Of course we don't have truly free-market medicine now
because of exactly the market interference the socialized-medicine crowd wants more of - and the problems caused by that are used as the pretext for further government expansion into what is properly the market's domain. The media are whores, and they will always side with the politician who want to expand government into new areas. The fact that government does not a single thing well never fazes the morons. Hillary Clinton not the slightest doubt in her head that she is fit to devise a health care system from scratch, and that it will be miles better than what we have now. All you'll hear about in the media are greedy insurance companies but the truly greedy party is government. Always.
I'm glad you are seeing it my way. I would rather pay for some innocent old lady's healthcare than a POS criminal's court appointed attorney.
There's no relation between the two; why conflate them?
It sounds nice to say everyone should be entitled to this or that. Politicians do it all the time because most Americans are borderline retarded. I'm sorry. That wasn't nice. Most Americans are almost as dumb as the education majors who teach them in public schools. They don't grasp that that "free" health care comes along with yet another giant deduction from your paycheck. Plus, when you get sick, your choices are limited. Many times you have no choices at all. Because, as all recorded human experience has shown, bureacracies cant know all the information necessary to make the right decisions. That's the job of price in a supply and demand system, as we sort of have now. Sort of because the health care is already half-socialized, and messed up because of it.

and education is education... you get what you put in.
I am in college now and paying for it. I could give two shits less and sneak by and not learn anything.
Yes. The point is that people are FORCED to pay very high property taxes to maintain the "free publication education" entitlement, even though schools are designed to produce morons. If you homeschool your children, because you don't like the garbage taught in public schools, you still have to pay the property taxes. Entitlement = enslavement in a very real sense. Only children think things of value can be had for free.
The kids from the inner-cit schools, or let me rephrase that, the "POS" schools could go to a one of the best private schools in the country and still learn the same thing.
Democracies, in order to sustain the myth of equality, must pretend that any inequalities are matters of funding or access rather than inbuilt limits. But that's a separate issue.
