Most of the weed around here is pretty schwaggy, and I rarely got good stuff the first year I was here. Now I consistently get dank, but it is still nowhere near the amazing stuff in the States.
I honestly have no clue about bass, but I think there is some good trout fishing in the mountains. Plenty of locals here make their living fishing the ocean in the tradtional caballitos de totora (little reed horses), which they have been using for more than 3,000 years. They like to claim they are the oldest surfers in the world, but they don't exactly surf them.
Peru has in the past few years taken over the lead from Colombia as the largest cocaine producer in the world, so I would say business is good. You can buy a gram of face-melting, pure as the Devil's snow cocaine here in town for 30 soles, about $11.50.
