I`m guessing that this mess pretty much nixes belichek`s attempt to get hernandez a furlough for feb 1st......

Hernandez is a piece of work, he's killed at least three people, no doubt in my mind. The first two for looking at him wrong at a club, the third one because he was paranoid the guy was talking about the other two murders. Personally, I hope he gets life. Problem is, the judges here in Massachusetts have already thrown out a significant amount of meaningful evidence, is actually a chance he could walk.

Under inflated balls were removed at HALFTIME and replaced by the REFS

Under inflated balls were removed at HALFTIME and replaced by the REFS

So Brady and company goes out with PROPERLY INFLATED FOOTBALLS and puts up 21 in the 3Q...

End of this NON-Story.

Vs. Colts....Brady had his 4th LOWEST pass yard total of the season........ AND didn't the Patriots RUN the ball all over the Colts???

Ball, under-inflated or not, had NO outcome on the game !!!!!!

just kidding shammy.....I lost quite a bit of respect for ravens` fans over the ray rice fiasco....even when the video came out people were making excuses and suspending common sense because he was "ray rice, football star"......It was downright pathetic....I`ve been reading some of the same stuff from some pat`s` fans but the truth is,there really is no "definitive" evidence(yet)....theres a shitpot load of anecdotal and circumstantial evidence that makes me think theres probably something going on here...but,again nothing`s been actually proven yet......

I`m really curious to see what the nfl findings are....I`m sure goodell was thinking,"boy am I glad 2014`s over"....that m.f.`ers a bigger jonah than typhoid mary....

nothing`s been proven yet, obviously...might amount to nothing but by your logic,if you break into someone`s house but get nothing of real value,it`s not really a crime?...right?

another interesting tidbit...

Tom and Billy couldn't give a shit less about this... they don't care about fines or Draft picks if it takes them to the super bowl... :mj07:

And a tainted legacy? Billies pissin in the wind when hears that. Just give me my ring...

Sorry but some statements on here sound very ignorant... obviously not too many on here played any sort of ball at a high level.

What I find ironic is when anyone mentions that they feel a games been fixed by either point shaving or ill timed flags to take points off the board or vice versa, most find it hard to believe. And most of the forum bring up the fact that there's little if any chance anyone, be it a part time ref or a player would risk it. But it seems a lot of folks readily buy into this the deflate-gate when one of the best coaches and highest paid and respected QB's could possibly be involved.
For full disclosure, I trust no one; but mulder of course, and I feel there are funny games that are manipulated in some way which does affect the betting outcome. But that's a soapbox for another day. And I'm also a believer that the media has a lot of power to make a story and form an opinion, much like they do in politics and I feel like espn has done that here. Had they not blown this thing out of proportion it's a non story! I think deadmoney hit the nail on the hear when he said more people were talking about this than the state of the union, which sadly is true!
I feel like it had no bearing in the game. Just my 2 centavos! and I'm leaning the seahags and hoping this whole thing doesn't really piss off the pats and they take it out on rah rah boy Carrol.

fair enough...but one question...if it`s proven that the balls were deflated purposefully(and from what I`ve read, there is suspicion that this isn`t the pats` first rodeo regarding the matter) why do it if it had no bearing on their game ?.......the org.already has a reputation from spygate.... why bother?...

if brady comes in and says,"yeah I told the equipment guy to deflate the balls a little because it`s my preference and I didn`t realize it was such a big deal',i`m guessing he gets a middling fine and the whole thing goes away.......based on the brad Johnson comments(and some other qbs),this was not such a big deal...

better believe Tom liked those balls he could squeeze in that weather..

it's story alright..

yet another story concerning the Pats and their way of doing business.

but don't ask Hoodie to explain it..

Far too many words for him to utter in a press conference

I think it is time the NFL says something. All we have is reporters guessing whats going on. Brady said he approved 24 balls and the reports are 12.

It was pouring rain, the guys wearing gloves and these guys say they can tell the difference? Plus how do the accusers explain the second half?

After the nearly 8 1/2-minute statement, Belichick wouldn't comment further when pressed by reporters.

and I think you're right, could just be a preference to the feel of the ball, like most athletes they have their quirks. Could be as simple that in his mind maybe it makes him play better. like batters that have to take so many swings before they step back in the box, whatever.

Jack, what I think Stevie is referring to is a report the refs switched out the balls at half time so those in question weren't used in the second half. Which begs to question why? But from Pats first series on in the second half the balls were supposedly inflated to the correct psi.
