My Advice for Tomorrow

My Advice for Tomorrow

Apparently the champagne is on ice...but the Blue Jays still need to beat out KC for the AL...and with KC losing tonite, well...this is the final showdown for homefield advantage in the AL.

The Jays are now ahead of KC and have the tiebreaker in the event of a tie.

They will keep the champagne on ice and play all out ball in both games. The Blue Jays win at least one game tomorrow. They are playing for two. Slam it down. :)

**Of course, as we all should know, never bet more than you can afford to lose!**

Gibbons already said skeleton lineup for game 2 should they win game 1.

Are those penis links or some disgusting meat product? xstop

The nearest one looks particularly suspicious. Please say you did not cut "it" off and make bbq links. :scared

I may consider a vegetarian diet. :0corn

Or...maybe you are saying the Orioles are sausage meat?

True, but the celebration will be after the second game, and the regulars will be in the dugout for the second game to keep the team together. Some could come off the bench, if necessary.

Navarro taking the place of Martin does not seem like a huge downgrade at catcher. Dickey is still on the mound. AND they are well aware that they need to stay ahead of KC to make sure the path to the World Series goes thru Toronto.

Jays as a +112 dog (because some people see a letdown) does not seem all that bad. The Orioles are the team that looks like they want to pack it in, not the Jays. These guys are super competitive.

give me one reason not to slam the Jays tonight.

O's have one scoring inning in the last 37 and facing a hot pitcher and a team with a load of motivation to win this game. O's can't wait until the season is over and go home for time with family, fishing, golf, whatever. O's could give a rats ass about the rest of the games.

It's not just about being a fan of a team, but this team is so much fun to watch :00hour

You were right about resting everyone, get ready to party. That may be the best for them, but there is still KC to think about. Enjoy! :0002

FYI...

"The guys out there are going to need a day, that's for sure," said Gibbons, whose club clinched its first American League East title in 22 years in Wednesday's first game of a doubleheader. "They've earned that and they probably wouldn't be feeling good enough to play physically, so they'll need that. It's important for us to try to win the best record [in the American League], no doubt, but if the guys need a break, they need a break, too."

Gibbons who ran out a lineup heavy on bench players in Wednesday's nightcap, acknowledged it would probably be the same case in Thursday's finale against the Orioles

--------------------------------------------------
We can probably take this to mean that the team will be hung over today, including at least some of the bench players slated to play. I dunno, but we can take him to mean that after this they will be playing seriously for the AL home advantage.

Do with this what you will and good luck everyone the rest of the way! :0074
