NFL NETWORK..

rumored ...not in concrete yet..

meaning Buff yet to release it..

Ryan to Buff..

just when ya thought they might have a chance to turn it around..

qb quits..head coach says let me out of here..

and ya hire a QB killer

no wonder NE floats thru that division

I still don't understand how this happens? Did the Owner not watch Rex's two games vs the Bills this year? Does the owner even care about winning? You just lost your most of the year starting QB to retirement, you have a coach that burns out QBs and is a bag of hot air and just wants media attention!

I just don't get it unless the owner's trying to deplete the value of the Bills so he can move the team or sell it! Which I highly doubt it, but it makes ya wonder the logic behind hiring REX RYAN!!

Biggest joke of the NFL off-season which isn't even an off-season yet until the Super Bowl is over with!! LOL

Word is going around that Tressman has been offered the OC position. Who knows what they have in mind for a QB? Maybe this is just going to have to play out? :0008

The Ravens got an excellent piece of news the day after being eliminated from the playoffs.
Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak is staying with the Ravens.
?It is flattering and humbling to be invited to interview for a number of NFL head coaching positions, and I greatly appreciate these opportunities,? Kubiak said in a statement. ?But I have decided to stay with the Ravens.
?This is a special organization and we, like [Head] Coach [John] Harbaugh says, are building something great. I want to be a part of that and contribute in whatever ways I can.?
Kubiak was rumored to be of interest to the Chicago Bears and New York Jets for their head coaching vacancies. There could have been more.
He?s a popular man considering the offensive success he?s had and his experience as a head coach. He was the Houston Texans? head coach for eight years, leading them from a sub-.500 team to a playoff and Super Bowl contender from 2006 to 2013.
After being fired by the Texans near the end of their disastrous 2013 season, Kubiak went back to his offensive roots as the Ravens? play-caller and had great success.
Baltimore posted a franchise record 364.9 yards per game. It went from being ranked 29th in total offense last year to 12th this season.
Under Kubiak and his zone-stretch run scheme, the Ravens? rushing attack made a huge leap. The Ravens averaged an NFL-low 3.1 yards per carry last season. Baltimore averaged 4.5 yards per run this year, good for seventh in the league.
Quarterback Joe Flacco also had his best season yet under Kubiak. Flacco posted a career-high 3,986 yards and 27 touchdowns. He cut his interceptions from 22 to 12 and took 19 sacks compared to 48 a year ago. His passer rating skyrocketed from 73.1 to 91.
Flacco frequently commented about his approval of Kubiak. Had Kubiak left, Flacco would have had to work with his fourth offensive coordinator in as many years.
Keeping Kubiak on board not only gives Flacco consistency, but a steady hand for the entire offense.
"Couldn't be happier to hear that news," said fullback Kyle Juszczyk . "Our offense has some unfinished business. We have high expectations going into next season and we feel like 'Kubs' is the man that will help us meet those expectations."
?I feel like it means we can continue to build on what we started," added guard Kelechi Osemele . "We?re a really young team and we have a lot of young players. It definitely would have been a loss."
After Kubiak's success this season, players spoke as if they almost were certain he would leave when talking to the media as they cleaned out their lockers Sunday.
"Coach ?Kubs? did a great job," wide receiver Torrey Smith said. "He was a blessing for us this season. It was awesome playing for him, and we?re glad he was here.?
?It?s always tough when you get comfortable with a guy like that, and he?s a players? coach; I will tell you that much. He?s a guy that you want to play for, so if he gets another head coaching job, you?re not surprised at it."

APNewsBreak: Source says Rex Ryan accepts Bills' offer

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ap-source-bills-offer-coaching-job-rex-ryan-144042020--nfl.html

A person familiar with the talks told The Associated Press the former New York Jets coach accepted in principle the Bills' contract offer after two days of discussions. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills have not discussed their search to replace Doug Marrone, who stepped down abruptly Dec. 31.

The offensive coordinator for the last 3 years in Denver has been Peyton Manning. You really think John Fox called 1 play offensively while Peyton was QB.:0074

Fox, 59, previously spent nine seasons as the head coach of the Carolina Panthers, leading them to an NFC title in 2003 and a 73-71 record. His contract was not renewed following the 2010 season, and he was quickly hired by the Broncos.
He was under contract for two more years in Denver at approximately $5 million to $6 million per year

so ya grab the clubs..and get a T time ..

Broncos pay ya 10 million..

plus...a legend at QB will probably retire and ya got nothing for a QB..

or the legend returns and ya have to tip toe around the pending end of his playing..

they actually did him a big favor..

and I wouldn't be surprised if he told Elway the very same thing..

How does Rob Ryan still have a job with Saints? ReallY? They fired all the other assistants, WR coaches, DB coaches, but keep this bafoon? He's worse than his brother!! If it wasn't for Bud Carson, Buddy Ryan would have had shit teams with the Eagles!!

Bills interviewing young Shanahan? Really? That's a big focking mistake!!

Madden sat on the interview with Mike Shanahan for the Raiders job? Didn't Shanahan get fired by Al Davis? That's pretty good on a resume'!

Teams must be hard up for Head Coaches!!

Rumor has it, Barry Alvarez loved tasting how Wisconsin did in their bowl game and is missing coaching and there are a couple of NFL jobs open!! They would pay more than the AD job at Madison!!

Most of the owners without GMs in place, if they were smart, would wait until around the Super Bowl to hire their HC and wait for New England to be done. Jack DelRio like Cow-Terd said on his daytime monkey job, stated, that Jack got a bad wrap cuz he wore a leather jacket on the sidelines. Really Colin?

Jim Mora Jr going to the NFL? He wants no part of the NFL Colin, that's why he's at UCLA!! He'll get his shot when he wants the shot!!

Bill Cowher stated he is not interested in any jobs and that's funny, no one wants you Bill, cuz your name would have been a hot topic on the Sports News across Fox & ESPN!! :mj07: You had your shot and you show how smart you are in the studio!! Studio jockeys make great GMs and Head Coaches don't they? :mj07:

John Gruden not getting any offers? Really?

The times have changed former NFL head coaches and if you passed up an opportunity before it gets around to the other owners, they don't forget!!

What about Sean Payton? I think he did a horrible job this year....His team won only 6 games in the worst division in pro football with a top 5 quarterback that missed 0 games...

I agree with ya there Jess!! He should have went too, but Benson has a soft spot for him since he did bring them a Super Bowl!!

As long as Benson owns the team, I'm afraid Payton will remain their coach unless they mutually part ways like Fox & the Broncos did!

You're right, they are wanting to interview him.

I guess Peyton approves. :0003

Not sure I'd want to be Peyton's HC. He has too much control.

John Fox

John Fox

He may retire now due to his health issues....

However, I do believe he can pick his spots. If there are a few teams courting him, he will have his choice. He is a good coach and people like him.
