I always wear one when driving, but sometimes I forget to put it on when I'm a passenger. (Don't ask me why.......I just forget!)
Unless you are about 400lbs, I don't want to hear that it's a "comfort" issue, either. You don't even know you are wearing it after it is on.
I do know this. We have some dandy accidents up this way, and just had three teens in one a couple weeks ago. The driver was buckled, his friends were not. He had no injuries, while the guy next to him smashed his noggin on the windshield and died, and the kid in the back, also hit the windshield, and is in critical condition.
These stories are in you papers all of the time.
An airbag is fairly useless in a roll over, too.
It seems to me like a fairly cheap, and easy way, to keep your loved ones from getting some pretty shitty news.

I have religiously worn one since I was 11. Back then most people didn't wear them. Mom was driving and a guy ran a stop light, and she smashed into him. I broke and buckled the windshield with my head. Scary and left a huge impression on me, and I've always worn one since. Nothing like seeing ur own blood all over u to leave a lasting impression.
People dont understand, be honest and nice to an officer and most of the time they will write you up for something less or just give you a verbal warning..
I had my car detail cleaned and the next morning while driving to work, I punched the accelerator to the floor to speed past the people driving 45mph on the interstate to maneuver my car into the left passing lane from the on ramp. When I let up on the accelerator the car kept going faster as the petal was stuck to the god damn floor. My Audi S4 was up to 130 mph before I could get my CAR SEAT undone and pull the accelerator away from the car mat. That was the last fucking time I wore a seat belt and I will never wear one again. :0008
I also had a bad wreck driving home at midnigh from work many years ago.
I was in a Triumph Spitfire convertable. A guy was drunk and crashed his car on the expressway right near the old Atlanta Stadium
His truck was across lanes and it was raining. He left because he had taken the company truck without permission.
So here I come doing 70 and when I finally see the truck it was too late. Tboned it and dont remember much. The cops were concerned they were going to get hit when they got there.
I was not wearing seatbelt. Head slammed into winshield and broke. Pretty severe concussion. Arm dislocated, etc etc
Its not you that you worry about when driving. Its the other guys that will kill you.
One time I asked me wife why she didnt look both ways when she was going thru a green light. She said anyone that hits me it will be there fault.
Yeh and you could die from that . Now she looks.
We both wear our belts everywhere we go.
Its nonsense not to these days.
