All this talk about quarterbacks is sad when its gonna be Booty and Henne who will end up being the best. Booty will be the steal of the draft.

i think this sets up very nicely for dallas & pitt (if they want a back) because wash. won't take a back so dallas will choose between mendenhall or jones & pitt. can take the one that dallas doesn't take....of course this could change with a trade..

Look that way. I really was disappointed the Steelers did not take Maroney a couple of years ago, so I would be more than happy if Pittsburgh took either Jones or Mendenhall.

Meanwhile, ATL traded up to get an OT. Now five OL off the board here in the first round. I am less and less interested in Pittsburgh going OL here with the 23rd pick.

Cowboys on the clock. This ought to be a ride. You never know what Jerry may do.

Quick predictions.......

I say Jenkins.

MENDENHALL!!

Too many CB's left & only 5 picks till Dallas is up again. (Jenkins, Cason, Flowers)

marooney is too much like parker so i'm not surprised they didn't take him....

i think dallas has to go for a back at this position..these backs are rated too high to be passed over...

Hmmmm pit drafting Thomas from msu?
if that happens I will ask him for tix right away for a steelers game, he is on my facebook and a cool guy, not tight friends but we have talked on several occasions (lived in my apartment complex) at msu

My hunch on what Philly does. For years people have been begging Andy Reid to take a big back or any back and a receiver. A back to supplement Westbrook. Well since they made the trade with Carolina i see them taking a back since this draft is loaded with them. Does he really want one? I doubt it very much but Westbrook is giving problems with his contract and possible sit out training camp. Getting a back will do what this group has done for years and that is to slap Westbrook right across the face. Westbrook who i feel is the best player in the Nfl (besides quarerbacks) We shall see.

Agree on the comparison, although I think Maroney has more talent. But, that sometimes does not mean you're a better player. FWP works his ass off and has made himself into a quality NFL back.

He does have a super bowl record to his name. :00hour

But, I dont think they had signed Parker yet to that four year deal when the 2006 draft rolled around. Think they inked that deal closer to the start of the 2006 season.

He has only has two years left on that deal. And, has a broken ankle.

They are on the clock right now.

They have to be thinking strongly about Mendenhall right here.

We'll see what happens. :0corn

Now I must pray Mike Jenkins falls to 28.

That will still make for a great 1st round for The Boys.

**Only substitute I will except is CB Cason from Zona.
