Just because you have athletes(Notre Dame had Number 1 recruiting classes thru the 80's every year) doesnt mean your good!! Notre won 1 National Championship!! It helps USC because they have any easy schedule and I mean real easy!!! When you play battle tested good teams thru the year(SEC) it pays off in the long run!! JUST LOOK AT FLORIDA LAST YEAR!! IMO, the SEC is the top conference this year, but the gap between SEC and PAC10 appears smaller than in years past. FLA has defensive questions, SC has been solid, Ten has not impressed, UGA has not impressed, Auburn has floundered, Bama will lose this week. Kentucky has played well, but their D is a question mark imo.

LSU is the only top 5 team with wins against 2 ranked opponents, and definitely deserve the hype received, but they are untested on the road.

As for LSU vs. USC, Southern Cal DEFINITELY has a better OL than LSU, even moreso with Will Arnold out. I would lean to USC at this point.
