I have been busy with taxes and have stayed away for a couple weeks, and only a few others knew i was seeing a friend and former worker of mine in Albuquerque who just found out ten days ago he had stage 4 stomach cancer.
I spent time with him this weekend after his ex-wife notified me that his liver shut down thursday. I made it up there friday evening, and saturday morning he passed away. Sammy was 42 years old, had a 16 year old son and a one year old daughter.
I thank the lord for taking him so fast as he was in terrible pain, and he could not get comfortable no matter what the nurses did for him. This is the second friend of mine this year that passed away and lived a normal life up to the day they died. We just never know when it's our day, which makes me tell god everyday how thankful i am for the life i have and the friends and family i still have l left.
Sometimes it is hard to understand and why some question faith, why a good person at such a young age with a one year od daughter woud be taken a away in just eight short days from all of us. We hear that God has a plan? Don't know where i fit in any of this, but thank you for how long i have lived and the blessed life i have had so far. This puts things in perspective, as none of us know when our time will come, live and enjoy life everyday, and be thankful for what time we have had on this beautiful earth together.
Guys like KOD and some others who have wasted days fighting with me and continously putting me down on this site, really don't bother me a bit in the scheme of things.I will even try to be nicer, more like Thunder when i come back!
Hope all of you tell your kids you love them today. I am going on vacation for 3 weeks starting this friday, and i will spending extra time this trip with with mom. She's 78 and lives alone in Iowa. She's always been there for me and now she is ailing, i need to be there for her. I hope to see a few of you along my trip, and will be ending up in Fort Worth, Texas fishing with fatdaddycool on my way back to New Mexico. You all have a good three weeks, talk to ya when i get back! Be safe,
