The only MRI I ever had they made me drink the solution.

The boys probably opted for the enema. :0003

Contrast materials enter the body in one of three ways. They can be:

  • swallowed (taken by mouth or orally)
  • administered by enema (given rectally)
  • injected into a blood vessel (vein or artery; also called given intravenously or intra-arterially)

NO, none of the above. GE has been sued numerous times over it and it's side effects.

An MRI can save your life too so I guess you have to consider what's best for you when faced with that decision.

Yes I agree...............I've been lucky so far. Being in the health insurance business for 32 years I've seen some bad stuff happen when we don't do our homework. You just can't always take your Doctors word for it. :SIB

So what is your option to not taking MRI ? Not going to go into my personal medical problems but this is a serious problem that I've been dealing with for years. As Jack said it possibly can add some years to mylife. I will take my Dr's advise this time.

You'll be fine with the MRI. They can do them without contrast dye if you are allergic to the dye, Iodine, or shellfis, and if you absolutely have to have it, they can premedicste you do u won't have an allergic reaction.

No problem with the contrast as you said they gave me a couple of pills and I was good to go. I showed the guy the pic , he kinda chuckled and said " they were playing poker today ". Thanks !
