on the flip side applaud all tax paying- productive-non criminal americans regardless of race color or creed.

I let the #'s tell me where the chips fall--not the PC crowds hypothtical wishes.

My very reason for admiration for Jewish citizens--almost 0 contribution to crime/prison population-aids-welfare ect.
Would be epitomy of productive non violent society

back to germany issue--I see their main witness is the old gal they axed and made scapegoat--no axe to grind there.

but more importantly is issue of who liberals are for---remember when Clintons attorney general Clark went to defend Saddam--liberal forum members said he didn't attack us--funny same members applauding this issue I guess their reasoning is the 20th hijacker didn't "quite" attack us either.

My question is will Clark make it back in time from defending Saddam to aid in prosecution or will maybe Reno step up to plate on this one?

One thing is clear--doesn't make diff if it Saddam or 911 hijacker--they can always count on liberals to come to their defence.

Rumsfeld quit after Republicans lost control of the US Congress

A US-based rights group defending Guantanamo Bay detainees is seeking criminal charges against Donald Rumsfeld, the outgoing US defence secretary.


The Centre for Constitutional Rights said it would ask German prosecutors to open an investigation and, ultimately, a criminal prosecution that would look into the responsibility of high-ranking US officials for authorising war crimes in the so-called war on terror.

The group of lawyers hopes German prosecutors will take up the case under Germany's universal jurisdiction law, which allows them to pursue certain cases originating anywhere in the world, a spokeswoman said on Friday.

The complaint will be brought on behalf of 12 people - 11 Iraqi citizens who were held at Abu Ghraib prison and one Guantanamo detainee - and accuses the US of torture and indefinite detention.

Alberto Gonzales, a former White House counsel and current attorney general, George Tenet, the former director of the CIA, and other high-ranking US officials will also be named in the complaint.

Rumsfeld resignation

The centre said in a statement: "The complaint is related to a 2004 complaint that was dismissed, but the new complaint is filed with substantial new evidence, new defendants and plaintiffs, a new German federal prosecutor and, most important, under new circumstances that include the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld as Secretary of Defence."

Rumsfeld resigned on Wednesday after Democrats took control of the US Congress.

Voter anger over the Iraq war has been largely blamed for the huge Republican losses in the midterm elections.

Rumsfeld will be replaced by Robert Gates, a former CIA director and a member of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group, assessing alternative strategies for Iraq.

I guess we have to wait to see if the German prosecutor takes up the case. If he does, then i'll meet ya back here and post a little red face for ya, bro.

Anyways, it looks like our good friends in Germany, Spain and Italy are already busy with other things.

In Germany, investigations are under way in parliament concerning cooperation between the CIA and German intelligence on rendition ? the kidnapping of suspected terrorists and their removal to third countries for interrogation. Other legal inquiries involving rendition are under way in both Italy and Spain.

I think it's an interesting situation, that could have some legs, and at face value there are a helluva lot of things that this administration has done that I'd like to know a lot more about. if person comes to me looking for job and is full of tatoos-earings has criminal history--has not been at any previous job for more than year--I doubt he gets the job--regardless of color.

If given chance to reside in area where crime is low and surroundings clean or live where its ran down and high crime rate--I'll opt for cleanliness and safety.

I don't follow. Where have I ever shown that to my mindset? You might find my posts on that Mass. guy and I believe I was quite critical of the Mass. voters for re-electing him. There was no legal issue with that guy, so it was really up to the people to vote him out.

Same criticism for Jefferson's disctrict in Louisiana and the people of New Orleans for re-electing Nagin.

And same criticism for Hastert's district. I assume you agree with me that he should not have been re-elected, given his knowledge of the Foley stuff and complete lack of action.

Given that you pre-judge a likelihood of an individual black person falling into these categories, would you say that it makes it that much more difficult for them to earn your respect or love? Do you ever fully trust them? If you have a great relationship with an individual black person, how does that not change your perception of the race as a whole?
