How is the egg working Jack? I am going to get mine tomorrow, any good tips?

it's great.

best tip is to go to the BGE website and read the forums. everything you need to know in there. very helpful.

sear those steaks at 700 degrees and only season with S&P. ;)

although the last 2 times my temp wouldn't go over 600 :shrug:

Jack, I think I read in the manual something about if your egg is not heating as high as it used to it is because some holes are blocked with ash on some plate or something in the bottom. If I can find it I will let you know exactly what it says. I made burgers for lunch (yummy) and got a 1/2 baked pizza for dinner. Unfortuneately I left the pizza in too long and the bottom crust was a little burnt but still tasted OK. I am going to try a whole chicken tomorrow night, I am surprised at how quickly it heats up and cooks the food. Hoping to eat healthier but if everything tastes this good I may pack on some pounds - LOL.
