It's this kind of rationalization that has America headed for Wall-E land. Yeah, the charts are outdated, it's not that Americans are getting fatter.

At one point I weighed 162 pounds and I am a shade under 6'3". At that point I was swimming a few miles a day so I had almost no body fat, but I wasn't anorexic by any stretch.

5'11 and 160 is nowhere near looking like a skeleton. It is a healthy weight for that height for someone that is not well-muscled.

Bull shit if i weighed 160 at 5 ft ten i would look absolutely sickening. We are not all built the same. My hands are bigger than some guys heads.

Mully,

Fuck that bro, you have a sweet jumper and you like to eat. Sure your cholesterol sucks and someone might try to hang a tag in your ear before the dart wears off if you ever lie down in a public place but all that shit can be fixed. I am only 5'10" and I weigh like 220 but I am certainly not built like a poop adobe. Change from Crown to Vodka and cranberry. Pick up a couple whores two to three times a week and maybe start a new habit. Before you know it, your blood pressure will be the last thing on your mind.

The important thing is not how you look or feel, or even what the doctor says, hell no. How much can you afford to start spending on crack?

Okay, I had my fun. The best advice (not advise) I can give you is to join Weight Watchers. While it isn't cheap it is extremely successful and doesn't leave you too incredibly hungry.

hOpe that helps, (I capitalized the O on purpose, get it?)

Where it is real F ing COLD
Well it all depends. I'm 5'11 and weigh 190 and could spare to lose a few pounds my buddy is the same height and weighs 190 and he is good. He has a different frame.

Now we shouldn't even be talking 200 pounds for you right now. To me you should try to set smaller goals to start with. Diet and exercise are a must! What do you think will happen when you are 50 if continue your pattern?

Exerrcise, make meal adjustment, drink more water and set manageable weekly goals for example, I will work out 5 times per week for 1 hour each then advance your goals after you consistently reach your first goal! No sense making a bunch of goals cause you will get discouraged if you don't meet those goals

No I could not. The best shape I was ever in was in the Marine Corps when I was 17-18 and I was still the same height and weighed in at 238 with around 6% body fat.

Jedi,
Sorry bro but you are wrong here. The entire population of the earth has evolved since the last BMI chart was used and updated, which is in 62. Count the number of 7 footers in the NBA at that time. George Mikan and then who?

How about 225 pound wide receivers with speed. Stand Mickey Mantle next to Josh Hamilton and tell me which one is fat? Sorry bro, except for Hedgie, evolution is a fact of life. We have gotten bigger over time, including bone density and thickness.

Hope that helps,
FDC

my buddy is my size or a tad smaller and he can get to 160 but of course his feet are half the size and a hat coming off of my head would cover his head and neck. I Don't think my shoulders could have fit in one of his shirts when i was eight :mj07:

MY Cholesterol was around 255 and my doc said he wanted me on those meds and i said fuk em i will get it down. Ate Oatmeal with nonfat milk with fruits in the morning most mornings or just oatmeal with non fat milk. Couple pears at lunch and a big salad with all kinds of shit in it for dinner with balsamic and evoo. Use to eat a lot of chicken in the salads but im starting to get away from that shit to. Starting to realize some of my arthritis subsides when i take chicken out of my diet. Especially in my toe.

The BMI can suck my balls......yeah 5'8, 205lb Barry Sanders was obese....

I don't know of one trainer that uses BMI

its body fat percentage that is king....

for guys:

3%-5%- necessary to function

6-11%- athlete

12-17%- fitness

18-24%- avg

25%- dangerous

11-15% is ideally what you should live in Mully......

:mj03:

I don't get it? He should only be 160? Are you comparing me to him simply because of weight when we are having a discussion about different body frames carrying weight differently? Thanks for proving my point. I never looked as good as Arnold. I never even said I was a body builder???

Somewhat of a strange tack on the argument as I believe it overstates my entire point. I honestly thought you were on the other side of this but thanks for illustrating my point.

Lou Ferrigno was shorter and heavier than Arnold, but I wasn't the Hulk either, I was a Marine. Ist and 5th Marines Scout sniper division. I tended to train a lot back then and, as it turns out, I had a thyroid problem I didn't find out about until I got out. Thanks for the comparison and all that but I am not an Arnold fan to be honest.

So are we in agreement that we have evolved. Good deal. I knew you would come around.
