How much longer until cable companies and Directv are obsolete?

All she told me was $20 extra a month. When I do it I?ll let you know exactly. When I?m only internet with them. I look on my xfinity page and it directs me to call them rather than displaying my options. You would think that Comcast, being in the internet business, would have a website that functions for their customers. It?s a joke.

Jack, have you had a chance to try it out? Review?

Devil Dave sent me this box. Thanks man! Much appreciated.

Got it setup yesterday so give me a few days during the week to play around with it for a decent review.

It's a lot different so I'm going to have to get used to the format and figure out the short cuts for navigating around the system.

I already know it's going to be good enough for my wife and her sets of regular channels. It has everything. I'm playing a little with it this morning and have Casino on now. No lagging, no skipping, perfect picture.

I wanted to watch the Twins/CWS game yesterday and found it, no problem, and it was smooth sailing watching. No lagging, no skipping. I did notice that it was behind CBS scoreboard consistently by about 3 pitches. That will bother me.

I turned on the Tulane FB game last night (ESPN) and it wasn't smooth and without lagging. I did have many feeds to choose from that may have been better but I didn't want to fuk around with it and just put Comcast ESPN on to watch the game.

I'll be going to the Colts game tomorrow so I won't get a chance to test Sunday Ticket until next week. I'll find out a lot about CFB TV today. I'm not concerned in the least about finding any game I want to watch, I just want to watch without the buffering. I'll find out today.

My internet speed right now is over 250 Mbps so the buffering on that Tulane game sorta bothered me, but like I said, I did have other feeds to choose from but didn't explore them.

I already KNOW regular TV is really good.

I'll keep you posted.

Army game perfect. I'm becoming more and more convinced.

See what happens when I add TV's that are away from the main router.

Are either of you using a VPN?

Sometimes. It?s not a constant one I use. I started using one when I started getting warnings from Comcast about downloading torrents.

Any updates? Thinking of going to Best Buy today and getting an Nvidia Shield and heading down this road.

I don't watch TV much and haven't touched it all week. I'm going to hook it up on the TV my wife watches and the report I get from her will be the report you want. I'll try out NFL Sunday ticket for the afternoon games tomorrow after I get back from the wing joint.

You can't go wrong getting one anyway, you definitely will want to keep it. Just don't go pulling the plug on cable yet. I'll give you the wife report next week.
