Dunclocks driving range idea is already in Canada at a couple of courses. Its not that big of a thrill after 2 buckets.

I have an idea ive been putting into motion and would love to have American support on it. A friend asked if I thought it could expand to the US and I said no, mostly because I would need an American partner to devote himself full time.

Jack call me if you want to talk about it. Its quite simple and makes alot of sense but is quite complex . Its one of those things that once you get the ball rolling it may never stop.

These greedy bastids charge 75 cents per bid on these auctions.. I have read they are making millions..

You should start a competing site that only charges I dont know 50 cents per bid..

A person bids 75 cents but it only raises the price by 15 cents.. or in some cases a penny!!

I saw a penny auction for a nav system that went all the way to $110

Thats over 10,000 bids at .75 a pop

thats over $7500!!!!!! plus the 100 the buyer pays for the device.. not a bad profit..

So almost 8 grand plus the $110 minus the cost they paid.. which is probably low.. jesus the profit margins are unreal..

Yeah. I'm watching one for a MacBook. Up to 85.00 in penny increments. That's over $6000 take for Swoopo. And the bids are coming in every second.

The technology behind this site is pretty simple. You just have to build the community up to get the frenzy effect.

I don't see why this site would be shut down. Your paying for the option to buy something at a low price.

I think if you came in at 0.25 per bid, you could possibly make more money. 0.75 seems like an odd price because people relate that to almost being a dollar.

If it was a quarter, though. Feck it! That's a gumball!

Jack you mention cut grass. A fellow from by old company did samething when he lost his job. He took it a few steps more. In winter he shovel there walks. Not himself a firm he hired to do it and took his cut. THen in summer he went another step. He went to the scotts lawn care fert guy. Start signing some of his grass cutting customers up for scotts fert. Again he does nothing just gets his $10 cut everytime that guys puts fert on one his customer lawns. In most case that is 6 trips a year $60 per custmer. He told be last week 86 of his customers have sign up. So he took cutting lawns two more steps that he just takes in cash. By the way for those think this is not a big deal. Well he,s in his 4th year. Start with one customer. Now on his way to 225 with just over 215. Has hired a full time guy and part timer. He said next thing he wants to do is. When he see a customer who needs a new roof. Or is ask for help with one. He,s going to work on getting quotes from the two he will recommend to give
a small % to him for his help. He said siding to. But waited to do this last becasue it,s real cut throt.
Had to update numbers I just called him. He got another thing started now. Window washing.Said it,s moving fast. Will have to hire part timer to do that. His wife told him hell no. Asked me if I want te job 10 bucks a hour. If no latter work maybe.
This always was smart.

I started my own lawn service many years back..there is good and bad..

the good is fresh air..good money..excerise.

the bad...200 customers...7 days in a week and most lawns should be cut wed. thru sat.People willing to pay for the service don't want a lawn that looks like shit on the weekends..75% WILL DEMAND WED orTHURS orFRI- or Sat.
surely a person who doesn't mind busting their ass can pull it off..keep in mind there is overhead..good machines are expensive..PM on machines is time consuming and ain't cheap fellas ..trust me ..help disappers in july and august when temps are 95-110 with heat index..

math end of the deal...210 cuts a week divided by 7

30 cuts a day...best case 3 people ..30 minutes a yard..and that is cut- blow and go..which actually is weak at best from a service viewpoint.That doesn't leave time for Round-up app. and picking the stray weed out of the flowerbed

15 hour day..NOT COUNTING TRAVEL TIME.

10 bucks an hour for decent help...

competitive business..we have crews on the street doing 4,000 square for as little as 35.00 a visit..

smaller yards for as little as 15.00


so add another crew?..yea it works too...as long as you can be sure the ramrod on the crew will make sure the works gets done..even when his helpers layout drunk..

been all through this over the years..


oh and the most fun...

3 day RAINOUTS...

and ...hope like hell they dry early that morning..

ZERO'S are sweet...but they rut a yard like a tank when ya cut damp or wet..

try 210 lawns in 4 days...

now we are having big fun..

forgot to mention bagging...

those pristine lawns...

nothing like 60 bags bags of grass in the back of the F-250...:mj07:


again..there is nice $$$..but be prepared to work ..and work your ass off..

Fall....nice.. we are having even bigger fun..

210 yards...average 10 bags of leaves a visit..

OCT..NOV..will get a weak man..
